1  Regulate period Heavy period, breakthrough bleeding I was off bc for over a year until I couldn't take the heavy periods anymore. My (new) OB prescribed me isibloom. The first 2 months my period was just as heavy so I decided to take it continuously so no period, right? Wrong! I have been bleeding for about 5 weeks now...started with kind of watery blood to very dark brown to deep red. And it's decently heavy. I feel like garbage and am switching to a different birth control! Oh and my heart rate randomly jumped up to 140 today. Reading these reviews is really scary. Please be careful ladies. I do not recommend. F 30 5 months

1  IVF suppressing natural cycle Horrible headaches, vertigo, head pressure, neck pain, anxiety, mood swings, depression, fatigue, irritability I have to take this birth control to suppress my natural cycle in order to do IVF embryo transfers. I take it for 2-3 weeks at a time, I've had to go on it three separate times, and it's literally the worst thing in the world. I'm currently on it and have a week left and I'm struggling, googling symptoms bc I feel out of my mind like I'm dying. Not everyone has extreme side effects, if you notice you might not respond well to it, tell your doctor and make a switch. I've been on birth control that didn't make me feel this way. I'm battling through bc it's what my doctor needs me on in order to try to get pregnant, but if I have to do another round of this, I will request to try a different brand of BC but this one is not a good fit for me.  2   debilitating anxiety and panic attacks, depression increase, feeling like my body is shutting down, severe tiredness 2 years of using on Pill Club. About a month ago, I have been having floating panic attacks, feeling as though i am going to die, about a week before, into and after my period. My pills used to come in a green package but now they are in a pink packaging. And since taking said pink packages, its been a living hell for me. It worked for the past 2 years with no problem but now I really don't know what happened or what to do. ER visits, just anxiety. Making multiple dr appointments to figure it all out and seeing a new psychiatrist. I really wouldnt recommend if you suffer with mental health extremely like me. It caused me debilitating side affects in my life recently and it's too much to handle for me right now. F 22 2 years

1  Birth Control Depression, anxiety, mood swings, heart palpitations, jaw pain, night sweats, body convulsions, chest pain, panic attacks, heart rates of 180 randomly. Please do research before taking this, check the dosage of your current BC to ensure this dosage isn't much higher than normal. Listen to your body if it's reacting negatively and stop taking this medicine if you experience severe side effects! F 24 3 months

5  Hormonal problems I had heavy breakthrough bleeding twice a month for the first 4 months. I started taking it continuously at 4 months and the breakthrough bleeding turned into daily light spotting, with occasional heavier bleeding. I finally did a placebo week, which stopped the spotting for 1.5 weeks, then I spotted again for 1.5 weeks, and now the spotting has currently stopped again. On Isibloom I basically have no sugar cravings. I've lost 26lbs since starting it. It made me feel sick (in a dehydrated way) for the first month or so, and my boobs were mildly (but not painfully) sore for like 6 months. Isibloom has stabilized the sudden, extreme shifts in mood that I would experience a few times a year. I would recommend it for hormonal problems and weight loss. F 26 9 months

3  Prevent Pregnancy and Help Periods tender breast, NO SEX DRIVE, heavier periods, and bloating/weight gain The first month was fine, period was heavier than it used to be on other pills. I switched from an IUD to Isibloom but was on different pills before hand. I gained probably 5-10 pounds. Thought it was me being lazy but I truthfully think it is from the pill. I have no sex drive. Literally no sex drive. I get horny very rarely and even when I do, it goes away as soon as my boyfriend and I start. I will be going off of it at the end of the pack. F 20 90 days

2  Contraception Nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, increased anxiety, mood swings, intolerance to food, yeast infections In the beginning I had no side effects until the third/fourth month of taking the pill. It was too much to the point that I had to change my birth control F 18 5 months

3  Prevent pregnancy Headaches, food aversions, worsened sleep cycle, yeast infections My first month on the pill my headaches were so bad I had to have my dad pick me up from school early, but that has cleared up. Ever since I started, my sleep schedule has just gotten worse, and it's ways changing. A couple times a month, I'll get food aversions so bad to the point I'm nauseous thinking about even my favorite foods; the worst part being I'm really hungry and I need to eat. So I'll eat some saltines and try not to puke. But what's making me write this is the yeast infections. I got my first one about four months after my first pack. Now I'm convinced I have another. I'm not sure what either were from. The first one could have been me using men's body wash (the harsher ingredients). This one could be from teenagers famously not-the-greatest hygiene habits, but now I'm not so sure, because I'm usually fairly clean. One good thing about this product (in my opinion) is it bumped me up a cup size. F 6 months

2  Period Cramping, Back pain, nauseous, moody, headaches I would not recommend this pill to anyone. I was on a different pill and mid way through my pharmacy changed to Isibloom. The past month was hell on my body, I am just on my second pill of this pack & I am so nauseous sitting in front of the toilet about to throw up. F 20 90 days

1  Pregnancy prevention, horrific peri Depressed, anxious, LOW LIBIDO, intolerance to some foods, horrible period I do not recommend this at all. I got prescribed this because my periods were not "regular" enough for this doctor, which doesn't make sense because my main goal with BC was to get rid if my period but whatever, so she put me on this because there was more estrogen and it has been horrible. DO NOT TAKE THIS F 19 2 months

4  Regulate periods, prevent pregnancy My only side effect is breakthrough bleeding. It happens like clockwork every month. If I skip my placebo week to avoid a period, the breakthrough bleeding is heavier the following month. But this is otherwise the birth control pill that does not affect my mood/weight/skin nor give me any problems or discomfort. F 35 3 years
1  Prevent Pregnancy Brown discharge/light bleeding randomly throughout the month, BAD breast pain, bloating, weight gain, headaches, gas, heart racing/fluttering I got this through Pill Club and I wish I would've read some of these reviews before getting it. I have auto-immune and genetic diseases that are painful, but a month or two ago, I started experiencing severe bloating (I look pregnant) and gained 30 pounds. I also started experiencing migraines (only had maybe a few in my life, now up to several times a month) and extreme breast pain. I can't even pinpoint a location because it hurts all over. The pain mostly is a dull radiating ache but has sharp pains in certain spots (on BOTH breasts). I also noticed my heart would sometimes feel like it is fluttering and jumping out of my chest. With my diseases listed above, I have to be careful with my heart, so I have been freaking out. Reading the other reviews made me realize that all of my symptoms may not be my disease progressing, but because of this drug. I'm stopping it immediately. F 38 6 months

1  Prevent pregnancy Depression, mood swings, vomiting, diarrhea, headaches, stomach pain, weakness, fatigue I received this pill through my pill club subscription. For the first few weeks my experience was bad. I was moody, and felt sick to my stomach. It got better and I was hopeful. Now, about 5 months after the fact, I'm experiencing terrible effects again. Headaches that put me on bed rest, extreme stomach ache, my heart twitches, diarrhea, fatigue. I almost thought I had corona virus or cancer or something, but its just this nightmare of a pill. Please, it sounds great and all on paper, but It kills you. Sure I'm not pregnant yet, but it is NOT worth the side effects F 19 8 months

ISIBLOOM  (DESOGESTREL; ETHINYL ESTRADIOL):  This combination hormone medication is used to prevent pregnancy. It contains 2 hormones: a progestin and an estrogen. It works mainly by preventing the release of an egg (ovulation) during your menstrual cycle. It also makes vaginal fluid thicker to help prevent sperm from reaching an egg (fertilization) and changes the lining of the uterus (womb) to prevent attachment of a fertilized egg. If a fertilized egg does not attach to the uterus, it passes out of the body. Besides preventing pregnancy, birth control pills may make your periods more regular, decrease blood loss and painful periods, decrease your risk of ovarian cysts, and also treat acne. Using this medication does not protect you or your partner against sexually transmitted diseases (such as HIV, gonorrhea, chlamydia).   (Sources: U.S. Centers for Medicare Services, FDA)
