MONTELUKAST SODIUM  (MONTELUKAST SODIUM):  Montelukast is used regularly to prevent the wheezing and shortness of breath caused by asthma and decrease the number of asthma attacks. Montelukast is also used before exercise to prevent breathing problems during exercise (bronchospasm). This medication can help decrease the number of times you need to use your rescue inhaler. This medication is also used to relieve symptoms of hay fever and allergic rhinitis (such as sneezing, stuffy/runny/itchy nose). This medication does not work right away and should not be used to treat sudden asthma attacks or other breathing problems. This drug works by blocking certain natural substances (leukotrienes) that may cause or worsen asthma and allergies.  1  Asthma Anxiety, depression, panic attacks, suicide attempts, aggressive behavior, rage, feeling of doom, stuttering/slurred speach, migraines, extreme brain fog, memory problems, spasms and cramps, worse allergies and asthma attacks My doctor only told me it might cause headaches and sleeping. It wrecked my life. My brain is so messed up and I have many other chronic problems now. The doctors at 2 different emergency rooms called me insane and tried to get me to take other drugs to lessen the panic attacks, depression, etc. If I could time travel I'd never take this drug. Id rather die from asthma than have to deal with this. I just want myself back.... F 28 1 years
