5 | nausea from neurological conditions | Very few. Occasional fatigue/sleepiness, unsteadiness, and constipation, but usually very slight. | Amazing drug! I've taken it for years since a brain surgery, and it's a life saver. It also worked perfectly when I had a horrible case of gastroenteritis--phenergan did a good job but made me incredibly spacey, loopy, and high as a kite. With Zofran, hardly any side effects! | F | 24 | 8 years | 10/12/2009 | 3 | Extreme Nausea | Migraine, severe stomach spasms, bloating | Have been on it for years now and about a year ago I started getting severe stomach spasms out of no where. Thought it was my pain meds (tylenol 3) but I figured out it's the Zofran. I have to take it for the nausea but it's a love hate thing at this point. | F | 35 | 7 years 8 mg 2X day | 5/14/2021 | 3 | Nausea | Gas, bloating, rare light headache. | F | 39 | 7 years 4mg-8mg 1X AN | 5/15/2021 | 4 | IBS, Nausea, Nausea by Anesthesia | Really bad stomach cramps and constipation | The medicine works so well, and the taste is not great but I have not had issues with the taste when nauseous. I only take it when absolutely necessary because I know I will be in pain the next day. It serves its purpose well but I only take it when its benefits will outweigh the consequences! | F | 19 | 4 years 4 MG | 6/23/2020 | 5 | Nausea | Wonder drug!! Phenergan just throws me for a loop and I can't function. I don't think phenergan takes away nausea, I think it just knocks you out so u don't know you're nauseated! Zofran is great! No side effects at all! I take it for a pretty messed up GI tract and wether I take it once a month or every 4-6 hours, it works! I could not live a normal life without it! I'm lucky my insurance covers every penny of it! It is more than worth the price though! If a doc tries to prescribe you phenergan, ask for zofran instead! You'll be glad you did! | F | 25 | 3 years | 9/12/2009 | 4 | Nausea from brain tumor | None | Worked well to control most episodes of nausea but not the worst ones for that I required Phenergan. The upside of this medication is that I experienced absolutely no somnolence or fatigue and I have been able to go to work on it unlike other antiemetics. | F | 39 | 3 years | 11/7/2007 | 4 | Nausea and vomiting, gastroparesis | No negative side effects. Works well for nausea | F | 58 | 2 years 5 mg 3X day | 2/13/2021 | 5 | Nausea from Medications | Got me through trying many SSRI's and birth controls. Maybe some slight fatigue but overall really no significant side effects. Thank you zofran for reducing/eliminating my nausea. | F | 16 | 1 years 4-8 mg | 5/9/2014 | 5 | Severe morning sickness | constipation | THE ONLY THING THAT WORKED! I took it both of my pregnancies and it was fantastic! Both of my boys were born healthy (I was worried since I took it the whole time) and I was able to go of it as easy as getting on. MIRACLE DRUG! | F | 24 | 10 months | 5/18/2006 | 5 | Hyperemesis for pregnancy | amazing drug, NO side effects. Never seen a more effective anti-nausea medicine | F | 37 | 9 months 10 3X day | 4/5/2011 | 5 | Chemotherapy nausea | None. It's fantastic!! | I'm certain I would have quickly wasted away and died with out this medication. I was administered a couple of doses of a cheaper anti-nausea medication for my first chemotherapy treatment and I vomited so much I lost 20 pounds in about 5 days. After my second (of 16) treatments I began taking Zofran with each round of chemo and it allowed me to live a normal life. I even attended rock concerts and went dancing at nightclubs on the same day as my VERY INTENSE chemotherapy treatment. I never felt nauseous or vomited once during the 8 months I was on Zofran. | F | 23 | 8 months | 3/7/2009 | 5 | Migraines nausea | I take it as needed and it helps a lot with nausea, and migraines, vertigo | No side effects | F | 40 | 6 months 8 mg 1X day | 11/19/2017 | 3 | Anxiety Nausea | Terrible bloating and stomach cramps the day after. Only take it when I absolutely need it because it backs me up so bad! | Constipation!!!! | F | 18 | 6 months 4mg 2X W | 3/3/2021 | 5 | pregnancy induced nausea | constipation, mild drowsiness, headaches | I don't know what I would have done during my last pregnancy without it. I was able to get by with phenergan during my first pregnancy, but it didn't cut it for my last pregnancy and I ended up having to take zofran for about 5 months. The only drawback was how very expensive it was, but I would have paid anything for it, in all honesty, because it was the only thing that worked... | F | 35 | 5 months | 3/13/2007 | 5 | Crohn's Disease & IBS | when i first started taking it a little headache & sensitivity to brightness. | Literally the BEST medication out there for somebody who is nauseous ALL THE TIME. Works wonders with nausea from Crohn's Disease! And works wonders with side effects from medications. Highly recommended. | F | 20 | 5 months 8MG 3X day | 4/16/2015 | 3 | HG pregnancy | Headaches during first pregnancy (swallow pill). None during second pregnancy (dissolve under tongue). | I still threw up a lot, but it lessened the nausea somewhat. | F | 23 | 4 months lowest | 12/29/2014 | 3 | Pregnancy morning sickness | Extreme constipation, which I did not realize was related to the Zofran until I got off of it, occasional headaches and somewhat increased fatigue | I had to wean myself slowly, taking 4-mg twice a day, then 3, then 2, then 1 and finally, 1 mg once a day for a week. If I lessened the dose more quickly, I'd feel "good" for a couple days, then the nausea would return and I'd go back on Zofran and be useless for 2-4 days due to fatigue and headaches. So relieved to be off of it now and having normal bowel movements. | F | 32 | 3.5 months 1-4 mg 2X day | 1/10/2013 | 5 | nausea during pregnancy | mild constipation (drank a lot of water which helped this 'move along') | Had extreme nausea while pregnant and got this prescribed from my doctor. I had another medication too, but it made me very drowsy and I was unable to function. Zofran did not make me drowsy at all and I was able to work. Using Zofran I still had an iffy feeling in my stomach, but I am still giving it such a high rating, becuase I do not know what I would have done without the medication. It made an unbearable time, bearable. The medication is however very expensive and I am still fighting to get money back from the insurance. | F | 40 | 2.5 months | 7/10/2008 | 4 | Morning sickness during pregnancy | This drug was a life safer being I had morning sickness 24/7. However fixing the nausea problem causes other things. I noticed I started getting bad headaches only when taking zofran. Also my vision was blurry, and I was extremely tired. Zofran only worked for me if I was able to take before I started vomiting if I didn't the med didnt work. | F | 31 | 3 weeks 8mg | 11/28/2012 | 5 | Counteract side effects | Slight headache. Expensive (if that counts as a side effect). Fantastic drug; it's saving my life while I take Biaxin (which gives me severe nausea). Nausea disappears almost immediately when I take a Zofran. I only wish each tablet lasted longer! | F | 30 | 2 weeks 4mg | 2/24/2014 |
