| 5 | Weight loss | Low level nausea for first two weeks. I was still able to function with day to day activities. | I was prescribed this medicine for weight loss, as I have a binge eating disorder. Started 12 weeks ago, and have lost 28 lb. Contrave curbed my appetite from the first time I took it. I did have low level nausea for two weeks, but I stuck with it, and it resolved. No other side effects. Oh, except one. I’ve drank coffee for 25+ years, and a month into this regimen, I noticed all the sudden I didn’t want coffee (or caffeine in any form). So while this pill treats me for my addiction to food, it also helped me to get off of caffeine. Amazing drug in that regard. | As far as weightloss goes, this drug does not work by itself, one must be fully committed. In that regard I have managed to lose 8 pounds in less than two months. Losing this weight has required me to stay focused on other things rather than what to eat next. I think Contrave has helped. Whenever I feel hungry, I prepare hot green tea or water with lemon instead of getting a snack.
