| 5 | Know just helps with my pain but when it wears off I am bk to suve.pain.whats one supposed to do I suffering with back pain, iatis hernia. Cerebral pasley,and depression and anxiety attacks. This time last year I was happy and able to eat food now I am in severe pain when I eat little amounts,and I am sick. At times I've lost a lot of weight.and crying 😢 what do I need to do now and I have a small kidney stone in my left kidney.but that doesn't seem to bother,me, any suggestions please. As the years pass my pain gets worse & worse. This medicine doesn't work very well. I would like to be on something that works BETTER without having to take so many pills! There are several other meds. that I have to take every day in adition to these. So if you know of something that works better without taking so many pills please let me know. Also I am concerned with what all of these pills are doing to my internal organs. ORAMORPH SR (MORPHINE SULFATE): This medication is used to help relieve severe ongoing pain (such as due to cancer). Morphine belongs to a class of drugs known as opioid (narcotic) analgesics. It works in the brain to change how your body feels and responds to pain. The higher strengths of this drug (100 milligrams or more per tablet) should be used only if you have been regularly taking moderate to large amounts of opioid pain medications. These strengths may cause overdose (even death) if taken by a person who has not been regularly taking opioids. Do not use the extended-release form of morphine to relieve pain that is mild or that will go away in a few days. This medication is not for occasional ("as needed") use.
