| 1 | Allergies asthma | I had occasionally given my son Zyrtec or generic cetrizine 5mg during allergy season, but when the doctors prescribed a 10mg dose daily is when I finally put 2 and 2 together and the side effects really got bad. Each day of that week he got progressively worse with crazy out of control tantrums. He’s always been on the emotional side so I’ve seen a fit but these were awful, kicking, thrashing, head banging, hitting, like blind with rage, totally not reachable. He literally could not control it even when I could get him to hear me. It was so so scary. He's always VERY sweet to his little sister but during these past 2 weeks he can’t even look at her without being upset and wanting her to go away and pushes her away.
