| 3 | Acid Reflux causing throat pain | Facial skin rash on cheeks, next to the nose. Lower left back pain that didn't allow me to sleep on one side. Dry mouth and metallic taste in my mouth. Was not on any other medication (other than a Tdap vaccine) during these 5 days. It did help my acid reflux though, so I stopped after the first 5 days. I quit the Prilosec but am now afraid to quit the Zoloft until the anxiety calms down. I am feeling better about 6 days out from my last dose of Prilosec. Some things which have helped me so far: lots of carbs and not letting my stomach get empty, magnesium (Calm powder), Minchex tablets as needed for anxiety, valerian root, chamomile tea, green tea, hot baths, exercise (when I have the strength). I’m also taking a quality multi-vitamin, fish oil, priobiotics, and eating fermented foods. Not sure how long these horrible side effects will last but hoping that I improve soon. I can’t work or take care of my child. I take Celexa for anxiety and depression. I did not consult my physician. I took this med to alleviate temporary GERD symptoms but the side effects were much worse after only 3 days of treatment. Stopped cold turkey!! Always check for interactions between prescribed meds before taking over the counter drugs. I learned a valuable lesson. Took it for 3 more days until I finally realized it could be the Prilosec that was causing it. Came across this website while looking for others with similar side effects and connected the dots.I stopped taking it after 11 days. The symptoms persisted at the same intensity for a few days, and then have slowly been getting better. I'm on day 7 off the stuff and am still having mild headaches and neck pain. | I wish I had never taken this poison. I went to my doctor, whom I trusted, and he prescribed this for for because I had been having stomach pain and I was worried about a possible ulcer. I hope that I can get this stuff out of my system asap, and have been drinking lots of juice and water to flush my system. I will never trust a doctors prescription again and will thoroughly research any new meds I put in my body. I wish I had before I started taking this.
