1  Seasonal allergies Worked good at first. After a few weeks I had this awful taste in my mouth then dizzy, hard to breath, Heart racing anxiety, depression bad thoughts and dreams. My doctor made me realize it could be Nasonex never would have thought it would have this awful effect. I may have been taking too much and now I'm paying the price and now realized I had dizzy spells because of it. I didn't see how bad my symptoms were becoming the stuff is dangerous! Never again. Its been 2 days and im slowly improving I think I have withdrawal symptoms from the steroid I can't wait until it's out of my system it's horrible stuff! Should be banned! M 40 21 days

1  Sinus congestion Bloody nose, increased congestion, anxiety, anger - feeling on edge. Wouldn't go near this one again. Very bad side effects, starting with increased anxiety and anger. Kind of detached emotionally as well, just on edge all the time, and too wound up to care about anything. My nose started bleeding too, with bloody mucus when I blew it. Flonase is better, but both of these drugs are dangerous, especially if prone to anxiety. M 51 5 days

1  Sinus infection/allergies Anxiety, stomach pain, nausea, throat irritation, vertigo/dizziness DO NOT TAKE. Ecspecially if you are prone to anxiety. My doctor said I had a sinus infection and prescribed prednisone, Nasacort and Allegra. It was hard to figure out what was messing me up so bad. I stopped the prednisone day 1, I took Nasacort for 4 days and was wondering why I was so anxious, dizzy and nauseous. I went back to the doctor and they said I had vertigo and prescribed Antivert. I was confused because I knew this dizziness was random and not normal for me. I read these reviews and decided to stop taking Nasacort. My anxiety was to the point that I could not drive or go to work and I have never been this bad. This medicine made me backtrack big time and I can't wait until the effects wear off so I can go back to work. F 20 4 days

3  Sinus infection Was on antibiotics and steroid pills for 2 weeks with Nasacort AQ continued. I 've been since experiencing ringing in my ears with a click sound at times. A throbbing also in my left ear sometimes in time with my heartbeat. Some anxiety I have never experienced before. Very concerned. I was wondering if it is the effects of the infection or is it side effects now that I came up on this site. F 53 5 weeks

1  rhinitis and asthma Taken off and on for five years no problem until I started to take it every day for 8 months solid. I was told this was ok by one doctor in the practice I go to. I had five infections in a row- thought I was going to die. Have cyst in eye and got herpes simplex ulcers in back of throat. My immune system was shut down- never even had a cold sore in all my 60 years. I would get leg craps so bad I had to put heat on them immediately to stop the pain. I slept with heating pads. Nervousness and jitters. Nosebleeds and I still get them- huge clots of blood. At the end I was getting blood in my urine and blood in my stools. I would NEVER advise anyone to take this DANGEROUS drug. I went off cold turkey and am using ashwaghanda to normalize my adrenal glands and taking a host of vitamins to get my immunity back online. I worry about my eye and other skin infections. I am itching 24/7 since stopping with NO relief no matter how much lotion or vitamins I take. This is a nightmare. I am using Xclear and that helps with nasal congestion. My doctor gave me another inhaler and it just makes me dizzy. I think they are all full of it- they just make everything worse. I hope I can get normal soon and that cancer has not set in while my immunity was down. We tossed it all out- hubby was taking it for allergies too. they should never allow this over the counter.  4  Severe allergies, violent sneezing Pressure and ringing in the ears, unexplained rashes, very bad insomnia, some stomach problems. My side effects became very noticeable after long term use. I didn't even connect them until I read the comments here. Did not experience the more common "labeled side effects" like nose bleeds. It's about the only product that worked really well to control all the violent sneezing. Now I'll have to figure out something else. I plan to reduce dosage pretty quickly and then stop. Everybody seems to react a little differently. Only intermittent use seems like the way to go, if needed. M 55 3 years

1  allergies No improvement in allergy symptoms. 7 days into treatment developed sinus infection or allergic rhinitis with severe neck pain stiffness 2 days later. Neck pain, fever, bad sleep, throat pain, drainage and inflammation lasted about 2 weeks. Minor Neck pain persists today (1.5 months after stopping treatment) Allergist recommended Nasacort for my son (7), daughter (9), and myself (40) for our allergy symptoms. We all were taking nasacort for 29 days @ 1 spray per nostril kids and I at 2 sprays per nostril (55mcg-per spray). Post nasal drip, runny nose with slight yellow/green discharge, and cough was not resolved in the children over the course of the treatment. However my side effects appeared more severe as noted above. I also had concerns of documented growth rate impacts while on this medication for the children as another reason for stopping early on this medication. M 40 29 days

5  Allergies Upset stomach/nausea, sleep disruption (trouble falling asleep and waking up after 4-5 hours of sleep) Nasacort works great for its intended purpose, but the side effects outweighed the benefits for me. The nausea and insomnia worsened the longer I took it. F 46 12 days

3  Allergies Works very, very good. Was not anxious, slept fine. But by day 4 I had horrible stomach pain, heartburn, nausea. I had to take nexium and gas x. Felt like I had a stomach bug. Day 3 off and stomach getting much better. Stomach problems are a side effect. Remember this is a great med, and works fast. Everyone has different experiences. Try it just know the side effects. Doctors unfortunately do not think sprays can hurt your stomach. They can! It really works! F 40 4 days

3  Sinus congestion due to allergies Anxiety, irritability, racing heart, indigestion, chest pain, jaw pain. I thought I was having heart problems. My doctor thought I might have an anxiety disorder. She probably also thought I was a hypochondriac. I took this medicine for a couple of years with no problem. I thought it was the answer to all of my nasal congestion issues. Suddenly, I had anxiety and irritability for no good reason. My heart was racing. I thought I was having a heart attack. I went to the doctor, but even she did not suspect Nasacort. I took a chance and stopped. All of my problems stopped at the same time. I may try to do a half dose or every other day since it did work very well on my allergy symptoms. F 50 2 years

4  Night-time nasal congestion Sudden and intense tooth/nerve pain. Have just suddenly developed toothpain, which I hought it was just due to worn enamel. The pain has generally across my front teeth, which I thought odd. Then, day before yesterday, the pain was only on and above the left, front, top couple of teeth. Yesterday, my teeth had not been hurting all day, but immediately developed severe tooth pain on and above the right front teeth, immediately after using Nasacort last night! FYI-I am at the very last sprays in the bottle, so it may be too concentrated...don't know. Nasacort has worked very well in relieving my nasal congestion, and I hate that I may have to stop using it, due to tooth pain. F 56 31 days

1  Sinus pressure and swelling in nose Anxiety, short temper, loss of self and ability to communicate rationally and clearly Was scary to see dramatic difference in my daughters behavior. Very disappointed in allergist who recommended it and nurses who assured me these kind of side effects were uncommon. Feel horrible I put my daughter through this... Seems much milder options should have been recommended first. F 4 2 days
