I had one injection and I'm not sure I would get the second one if it was prescribed but I'm sensitive when it comes to medication. The side effects are manageable and they come and go. There are a lot of horror stories on internet and I was scared to death to take this drug but I would take the shot again because it did shrink my 2.5 cm submucous fibroid to 1.8 I'm hoping my body will be back to normal soon but after surgery I'm gonna be on estrogen and progesterone for a month. My muscles and bones ached it hurt with every little movement. My body then began to swell(this side effect is still with me it's been several months since I've had my last dse) my ankles swell the second I put them on the floor each mornings the rest of the body parts soon follow. I had lost all interest in sexual activity.I soon got depressed I felt worthless couldn't even play with my kids. My marriage got rocky bc of how I felt. You can find ample info online about the negative side effects of Lupron from thousands of people that have been on it, yet they continue to claim there are no side effects. They did laproscopic in Jun 2010 and they confirmed that I still had endo. Went on the Lupron depot in Jul 2010 (3 mth shot). I can't take the progestrine (my body went numb when I was on it and i passed out-the doctor said that i was allergic to it b/c of the estrogen-my body produces to much as it is) Went to the doc yesterday and he thought it was weird that I was still in all this pain. So I get to do an ultrasound, cat scan and possibly another laproscopic surgery.
