| 1 | Birth Control | I was taking the generic version, trinessa, for 6 months. The first few months were fine, then I got my first ever migraine. I didn't associate the two. But, then I had another migraine. It seems a bit odd for a person who has never had a migraine to have two within 2 months. The worst part though was I had extreme fatigue. I just could not get enough sleep. Even after 10 hours of sleep, I could barely stay awake. Also, I was irritable and would get extremely angry. I also had 2 yeast infections, and as with migraines, I never had a yeast infection before. I have been off the pill for about 3 weeks, and I am no longer fatigued. As for the rest of the side effects, I will monitor and see. | The positives for the drug are that it cleared up my skin, and I actually lost a few pounds. I would also be seriously emotional right before the placebo pills. I have been trying to find an OC that does what it says it does without any side effects and I have tried Ovcon 35, Ovcon 50, Ortho Tri-Cyclen, Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo, Yasmin and have had breakthrough bleeding, acne, and mood swings with all of them. Loestrin 24 Fe has been the one that has actually worked for me and I really only get a 3 day period! The longer I'm on this pill, the more these effects have occured. I am getting myself switched back to TriCyclen first thing Mon. morning. I started taking Trinessa about 4 months ago. I have gained 10 pounds even though I am a health and fitness freak, can't seem to figure out why I was so bloated and gaining weight. My boobs feel like they are going to explode, I can't even touch them. Have had severe migranes, when before, I would never get headaches. My face is covered in zits, never got them before!! I am currently taking antidepressants and have been for some time, so my depression is generally under control.
