We were at a loss until we figured out the only thing different was the Claritin. We stopped it and now he is back to normal. Just recently, I've gone though several periods of extreme irritability and was extremely sensitive to touch and temperature. After eating, I get sharp pains in my abdomen and lots of gas. A general feeling of lethargy is almost constant, but it is sometimes very difficult to fall asleep. I didn't make the connection that these side effects were probably due to the medication until I read this site- I figured it was digestive problems combined with some off-schedule PMS. | Claritin suppresses my allergic reactions for the most part, but occasionally it seems like it's doing nothing at all- my throat and eyes will get extremely itchy for short periods even while on the medication.
