I do zumba, dance, ride my bike and exercise at least four times a week. I was first diagnosed with Diverticulosis in 2009 and this was my third flare-up on Thursday July 19th 2012. The pain was so strong I was unable to stand up straight. My Dr scheduled a CAT scan and determined that I did indeed have a Diverticulosis flare up. I was prescribed Ciprofloxacin 500 mg twice a day and Metronidazole 500 mg three times a day. On the first day after taking the medicine I threw up everything by noon. On the second day I decided to spread the medicine out and take it at different times over the course of the day. I was then able to keep it down but felt very sick.
