| 5 | birth control | I went on this drug when I was in high school and maybe gained a little weight but was overall very pleased with it. I really didn't have any side effects. After having my kids, I tried to go back on it and had some spotting so my Dr. recommended trying a variety of other pills. About 1 year later I finally asked if I could try Nordette again and was pleasantly surprised that everything was great on it again. The other drugs made me dry, lack sex drive, miss periods (really scary!), etc. My Mom also takes this and has had a good experience as well so maybe it's just the right fit for our bodies. Small diasppointments don't send me spiralling down into black, oppressive thought patterns that used to take days to surface from.
