The depression I experienced was extreme, I began cutting myself (something I'd never done before), and seriously contemplated suicide. I was exhausted by 5pm. This depression actually cost me my job. This isn't worth it. I only wish I would have figured it out sooner. I put stress on my relationships with loved ones, and my toddler son suffered. Within 2 days of stopping the medication I felt a difference, after 1 week I was a brand new person. Now, 1 month later I feel good as new. Please be careful. Surely, these side effects don't occur with everyone, but be aware. If you find yourself feeling this way....STOP!! In a mere 27 days my life was turned upside down for this drug. I'd had my job for 5 years and I watched it slip away. There are many, many other means of birth control. You have choices! Side effects have been minimal, until a month ago when I didn't get my period. I took 2 preg tests and both came out negative, one a week after I missed my period. I always use condoms as well as the pill, so this seemed odd. I'm late sometimes with my pill, but no condom has ever broken. This month, it hasn't come again.
