I'm starting it tomorrow and I almost cried after reading all these reviews! Some of my friends are on this pill and their skin has cleared up, they've LOST weight, and they are doing fine. I'm hoping that's what happens to me too. I think it's important to remember that most people who take the time to write a detailed review of a medication have something NEGATIVE to say - there are plenty of women out there that are content with their BCP, and don't feel the need to write an encouraging review about it. But so far i have had no bad side effects. My skin is nice and clear now, no cramps, and i feel sooo much happier from being on Sprintec fe before. My Dr said Loestrin was supposed to give me less side effects than NuvaRing, which I also stopped mid-cycle. 3 weeks after ending the medication mid-cycle, I experienced heart palpitations, light headedness, chest pain, back and SI joint pain, hot flashes, overall joint pain, nausea, weakness and extreme anxiety and fatigue. I had no idea what was going on, and as a 22 year-old college athlete,a heart attack just didnt make sense. I didnt know stopping bc would take me to the ER. Then I started my 4th month, and got a period 2 weeks later and gained more weight, localized in my stomach, very strange. I have been exhausted this last pack, all the time, and my moods are so unpredictable, it finally scared me into stopping today- mid pack.
