| 4 | migraines | irregular periods, some spotting | i've been on micronor for two years now due to migraines that got worse with the combined pill (yaz & ortho tricyclen). overall, i am a big fan of micronor. i did have a good amount of spotting for the first 3-4 months that i was on this pill, but now get my period every 2 months or so. my headaches are a million times better. the only thing is that i have gained 10-15 pounds over the past two years, with the same workout schedule, but this definitely could be due to other things. overall, great product, much better than the combined ones. | F | 24 | 2 years 35mg 1X day | 8/18/2011 | 2 | Birth control | Afer two weeks of taking Micronor, my foot slowly became numb. I was on a different POP before this one, I think it was Merina which I thought was awful as I would be bleeding once a week for 3/4 days and my skin was terrible all the time. My Dr changed me over to Micronor which originally I thought was brilliant as it cleared up my skin and my periods became regular again......until now. I have been taking my pill at the same time everyday (7.15am - an alarm is set to remind me). It ran out 2 weeks ago and I couldn't get to the Dr to pick up more until last week, but was taking extra precautions with my boyfriend during this time. The Dr has told me to wait until my period starts again to start taking this pill again, but in the meantime I wait anxiously for my period (and trying not to stress!) while spending every day running back and forth to the toilet about 15 times a day, feeling nauseous, lack of appetite, struggling to stay awake, bad indigestion and bloating, while the pregnancy tests have come back as negative. This pill is seriously affecting my personal life and working life, i have decided i am going to stop it and chuck the remaining pills down the toilet tonight. The first few weeks were okay, and I didn't notice any bad side effects. However, I noticed I generally felt unmotivated and tired constantly. I had trouble waking up and felt really tired through the day. Lately I've been feeling depressed and anxious. I get constant headaches. It's not severe, but it's like a constant pounding in my head all day. I haven't had a period since I've been on the pill but I have had menstral cramps for no reason. My breasts are *extremely* tender and it even hurts to wear a bra. They have also shrunk in size. I have a general loss of appetite, but it just goes along with feeling tired and depressed; nothing severe, but like having a fog over your emotions. I always take my pill within 30 minutes of my time and I haven't missed a single one. So I researched the pill and found that people were reacting the same way! I tried Mirena which was awful and Micronor was even worse! I tried to stick this pill out to see if my body would get used to it, but I just couldn't see any upside to it any more. I have been bleeding non stop since I started taking it, not just spotting, full on period like bleeding. I wish it stopped my periods, for some reason it seems to have the opposite effect on me. If I knew that would end I would probably try to stick it out, but I would probably have to enroll in anger management classes.
