| 1 | Ear infection | I did a review three months ago when I took these. I have never experienced side effects on the scale of these. Mentally I was convinced I was being poisoned. I stopped eating,took food back to shops,rang my daughters to come and test my food and completely lost my appetite. I lost 5 kilos which I have never regained. I was depressed,nervy, scared of everything,totally miserable. I was exhausted, my tongue was disgusting it had a thick white coating which made me feel sick.So scared of them was I that I didn't try any alcohol for two weeks after the last one. | Three months on I still haven't regained my appetite or enjoy food. On occasions that I went to my surgery I was told that I shouldn't have persevered with them. A bit late now!! If you are having this plus lethargy, jerking muscles or limbs heavy legs or twitching hands, muscle weakness, tingling or numbness, swelling of any body limb, sudden muscle loss, or other weird physical sensations then it is causing swelling in the brain by severe metabolic disruption. If you are having neurological problems : dizziness, headache, stiff neck, blurry vision, hallucinations, or aggressive behaviour or "altered mental status" then you could have lesions in the brain from Flagyl. | This is poison. Please stop right away and ask your doctor to switch you to something else if you are having any of these side effects, even just one ! They said to continue when I complained of the side effects and stupidly believed them. Insomnia, spacy, depressed, achy, stomach uneasy, general feeling of wanting to give up and die. If you are over 50 yrs old or under 120 pounds, ask your Dr. about reducing the dose, which is based on a young male person with a vigorous metabolism who weighs 160 or more. Cutting the pill down to 2/3 size helped me. | Two things help if you are stuck taking this wretched drug. 1. Probiotic containing saccharomyces boulardii (Walgreens has one, Walmart, Florastor is one. Expensive but worth it, this will save your gut and prevent a lot of diarrhea and nausea); 2.
