3 | EGPA | Fever blister and severe sciatic pain in right leg and neck pain. | M | 61 | 2 weeks 300mg | 5/26/2020 | 3 | Asthma | Extreme fatigue, face flushing, shortness of breath | First few months, stopped using Xopenex inhaler. Felt good, but tired. But then had shortness of breath. Fatigue increased. Problems with other treatments because of AFib. Using oxygen at night now. Considering discontinuing Nucala. | F | 84 | 1 years 1X M | 4/28/2020 | 4 | HES/EGPA | Medicine worked, always tired especially after injections , weight issue i’m not sure if it’s related to meds or age. | F | 48 | 5 years 300mg | 3/4/2020 | 3 | Eosinophils asthma- severe | My daughter has had bad muscle and joint pain in both knees, ankles, fingers, jaw, neck and back. We thought her juvenile arthritis came back and was about ready to start her on another biologic Humira but going online I found reviews on her that have similar symptoms. She also has bad headaches and eczema in spots she's never had. This is not a good drug if you have arthritis. My daughter will not be going back for her 4th injection as in right now she can barley walk and I have to drop her off at school like that! I wish I would have realized this sooner or else she would not of gotten her 3rd injection just this last Tuesday. Now we have to wait for the med to leave her system which can take more than a month. It just breaks my heart seeing her in so much pain. For my daughter Symbicort seams to work just fine on its own...I hope. | Will be calling both her Pediatric Rheumatologist and asthma doctor tomorrow! Please email if anyone experienced anything like this with an arthritis patient. | F | 8 | 3 months | 2/20/2020 | 4 | I have had asthma my whole life and now eosinophils asthma too. I have muscle aches. Especially my hips. The tradeoff is no question, I am grateful to be off prednisone. I breathe much better, have much less mucus build up, i no longer have to start everyday with a nasal rinse. I have done things that normally would put me on prednisone and I am still breathing well (rake leaves etc. ) | F | 61 | 3 months 1X M | 11/30/2019 | 3 | Severe Asthma | After my first shot I could feel the difference in my breathing. When I had my second dose I felt worse a few days after receiving it. During both doses my back hurt constantly and I had mild headaches throughout the day. I was plagued with fatigue, but I guess being a type 1 diabetic doesn’t help any either. | M | 45 | 60 days | 11/18/2019 | 1 | Acute adult asthma | Extreme Fatigue & developed eczema that I never had anytime & gained weight 10 lbs during the first 3 months | Stopped and the fatigue is slowly reduced. Now I need to loose the extra 10 lbs but still suffer with the severe itching and raw sore the size of of a silver dollar | F | 70 | 6 days 30MG | 11/14/2019 | 5 | Asthma | My teeth and gums have become so painful and I have had diarrhea | It has changed my life more energy breathing better able to exercise | F | 50 | 5 months 30 | 10/31/2019 | 1 | Uncontrolled asthma, eosinophil | After every shot within hours and lasting several Fay my asthma worsens. Each shot this has gotten worse and I am getting no relief. My doctor has discontinued it and is putting me on Fasenra to see this will make any difference for me. | F | 53 | 9 months | 9/25/2019 | 1 | Severe asthma | Weight gain hair loss muscle and joint pain extremely tried all the time | Not happy on it don't think the right information was given when offered the drug | F | 61 | 11 days 100 mg | 9/11/2019 | 4 | Eosinophilic asthma | Runny nose, I think | It's a little early to tell, but it seems that it's helping. I haven't had any serious side effects, just a bigtime runny nose that may or may not be due to the drug. I have dropped from almost daily updrafts to one a month, close to time for my next Nucala dose. We'll keep going with this and see what happens. | F | 48 | 2 months 100mg | 8/3/2019 | 5 | Asthma | None | Game changer as life has returned to normal | M | 61 | 3 years 10 | 7/28/2019 | 2 | Asthma | Headaches weight gain very tried | F | 6 months | 5/12/2019 | 2 | Asmtha | Weight gain | Head aches | F | 60 | 6 months Not sure | 4/21/2019 | 4 | Eosinophilic Asthma; Churg-Strauss | I developed shingles after 3 months. I had received Zostavax in 2015 but I was not vaccinated with Shingrix prior to starting Nucala. While I recovered from shingles infection, Nucala was suspended for 1 month. The drug has helped and I am no longer on steroids. | I am recently diagnosed with Churg-Strauss and a 300 mg monthly dose is recommended. I am concerned that 300 mg will lead to an even greater risk of developing shingles a second time. Despite requests, the doctors will not give me Shingrix and it concerns me. | M | 63 | 8 months 100 mg 1X M | 1/8/2019 | 4 | Asthma and allergies | I think fatigue. | I had coughing spells, often 1-2 hours at night with congestion, lots of mucous, phlem. Could not get a good nights sleep. I used a rescue inhaler Xopenex frequently. I could not use other drugs because of atrial fib and attacks. I bought an air purifier that contained charcoal, and stopped using milk products at the same time as the shot, but my symptoms have almost disappeared. Still use the rescue inhaler on occasion but feel so much better. Cough has been eliminated, congestion gone. . | F | 82 | 2 months Not sure 1X M | 8/3/2017 | 4 | Eosinophilia Asthma | Slight headache after 1st shot, but very minor. Also, my blood pressure is lower than ever since getting this shot. | Long time uncontrolled Asthma and sinus issues with no relief even when on prednisone daily and 500 Advair. I was in amazement within a few hours of my first shot I felt a weght come off my chest. Was a slight and gradual feeling but a definite change within hours. I didn't feel cured but did feel for the first time in at least 10 years that this drug helped. My breathing was better, even my sinuses were clearer. Changed my quality of life almost instantly. Amazing! It wore off after about 2 weeks, so I was happy to go in for my second shot. I did so well after my first shot so my Dr took me down 5 milligrams in prednisone to 15. I did not have any improvement at all the second month, and was a little worse, so the Dr left me at 15 with my third shot. I once again felt an instant weight lifted off after the 3rd shot, but I do feel it wearing off again after 2 weeks. Looking forward to my 4th shot, they say that's when most feel the improvement, and looking forward to a life without prednisone some day! Even with my mixed response, I feel that this drug is amazing and life changing for the right candidates. | F | 48 | 3.5 months 1X M | 7/11/2017 | 4 | Severe asthma | No side effects | I have had asthma since 1990. I have had numerous servere asthma attacks in which at least six have resulted in hospitalization. The last being in 2016. I started with NUCALA in May 2016. So far, the results are very good. I still use prednisone but know it's only 20-40mg a month. More importantly, when I have difficulties breathing, I can sit down and relax and feel better in a few minutes. Prior to NUCALA, I would have continue to deteriorate until I took prednisone. | M | 75 | 10 months 100mg 1X M | 4/14/2017 | 4 | Severe asthma requiring hospitaliza | I felt tired and needed to nap mid afternoon, but I am not convinced it's a drug side effect. It's daylight savings time and we are all tired! | The anxiety around how and when the next episode was/is was so hard on my family. Last ski season, I did not watch my son's races due to asthma. He won a gold medal and had to show it to me while I was hospitalized. Nucala seems to have lifted weight off my chest. I can breathe more easily! It scared me at first because I felt like my breathing changed immediately! | F | 47 | 1 months 1X M | 3/14/2017 | 5 | Severe asthma | Redness & itching at the injection site | This was a life changing drug for me. I had severe adult asthma for over 3 yrs. I was on 6 different asthma medications, yet still ended up in the ER several times a month. In the end, I always ended up on strong doses of prednisone. Since taking Nucala, I have not taken prednisone in over 7 months & I'm down to only 3 asthma medications. Nucala has worked wonders for me | F | 53 | 8 months 1X M | 11/18/2016 |
