2  High cholesterol / triple bypass I have had high cholesterol sense 2016,I have been on every statin you can name, they always made me sick, but I stuck with it, for 4 years, then in 2020 I had to have a triple bypass, can you believe it ? All the side effects that I put up with and still had to have a triple bypass, anyways after my surgery, by the way it went well. Never felt better. After my surgery I did some research on statin's, come to find out that the FDA said that the statin's were doing more harm than good, as a matter of fact they said it causes double the plaque, so I copied that report on my phone, when I went back to my doctor she wanted to put me back on statin's. I told her no way , she asked why and I showed her the report that I got from the FDA, she acted surprised ! ( A little)she said the benefits out way the risk, I just about fell out of my chair, I said oh really, taking that crap for 4 to 5 years and being so sick from the side effects, still had to have a triple bypass. I told her no thanks! I would take my chances without this crap. Anyway I moved to another city, my new cardiologist asked me about repatha, because I have a genetic inherited condition called familial hypercholesterolemia which causes your LDL and HDL and triglycerides All 3 to go sky high, there are 4 types, you need to research, it's no fault of my own because I got it from either one or both parents, it's a defective Gene. Sorry this is so long, but important, keep reading, my point is doctor's know this and don't te F 62 2 months

1  High ldl Extreme irritable bowel, cramping, burning diahrea, intolerable pain...tried for 2 months, suspected responsible for intense GI symptoms so stopped...all improved...so in case it was just coincidence tried again 3 weeks ago...bingo..within hours of shot extreme burning explosive diahrea like dysentery...just awful....plus headaches and anxiety...can't eat without bad IBS symptoms, nausea, pain.... Am really really disappointed....I begged for drug plan to cover it, and was successful ..but alas I just can't keep this up..it feels like I've poisoned myself...can't take it ..threw remainder away, now hoping to wait out symptoms...will probably need to go back on statins. But at least you can take them daily and stop if side effects are too severe... F 73 4 months

4  Statins not attaining goal Began program with Total Cholesterol 203 , LDL 135 After 2 injections within 30 days Total is at 106, LDL is at 48. Results are absolutely remarkable! Side effects didn't begin until after 2nd injection: deafness that lasted about 24 hours but hearing is gradually returning, general malaise & cognitive fogginess, diarrhea, leg cramping continues same as with statins. Only 2 injections were take in 30 day period in conjunction with my 20mg / day Crestor. As remarkable as Rapatha is im going to wait and monitor labs before continuing further M 65 1 months

3  Familia high cholesterol At first it seemed like a miracle. My cholesterol levels were well within normal limits within three months. However, over the last couple of months I have noticed pain similar to what I had from taking statins. Now experiencing lower back and hip pain, muscle aches, cramping in my hands, fatigue with the added dizziness, anxiety, depression, inability to stay asleep, stiff neck, daily headache, stuffy nose, easier brusing and very little stamina. Not sure where to go from here as nothing else works for me. F 60 6 months

1  Mild heart attack, high cholesterol After 5 shots over a course of 2 months I started with joint pain, muscle aches and fatigue. I have now been off 7 weeks as of this posting and the joint pain in my shoulders and neck are near debilitating some days and I still have fatigue. I will say it did and incredible job of lowering my cholesterol but the side effects are not worth it In my opinion this is an awful drug that really needs the FDA to investigate its side effects. If you are having bad side effects I would strongly encourage everyone to make a report to the FDA M 63 60 days

3  High cholesterol I tried every statin that was available but could not tolerate the terrible leg pain. Something I am experiencing now though is my leg giving out. I am constantly almost falling and it feels as if my muscles are tearing on my right leg. I’ve had physical therapy and steroid injections without any success. Has anyone else experienced problems with your leg giving out? I have a terribly runny nose while eating and after. It’s embarrassing when eating with others, but I can tolerate this. What I can’t tolerate is leg weakness causing falling. Doctors don’t think repatha is what is causing it, but this drug is fairly new. The only other reason I can think of causing it to happen is from a bad case of Covid I had. My hair falls out badly-either from Repatha or Covid, even though it’s been over a year. F 69 1 years

1  High Cholesterol and CAD, statin in Severe depression, severe confusion, decreased cognition, insomnia , severe headache that lasted for 2 months, increased joint pain, anxiety, panic, weakness, fatigue. Thin and flaking, peeling finger nails. I have had the worst year. I am unable to function. I have lost my ability to think, to deduce, to reason. Emotionally and mentally wrecked, physically too. At the worst point I could not recall what I was doing, trying to do. I would have to rely on others to drive me. I couldn't work. I still have days that are very bad. I wonder how long it will take to recover. My cardiologist wants me to go back on the medication because he doesn't believe it is the cause of all this. I am very scared to try it again. I haven't had an injection since 3/12/22. And I am still struggling severely. This drug is dangerous. Has anyone reported to FDA? Has anyone stopped it and tried it again? F 56 3 months

1  Previous heart attack.. After first injection felt slightly achy and tired but after the 2nd injection experienced extreme muscle pain and fatigue.. struggled to walk across room due to muscle pain .. then I developed heart palpitations and cramps in fingers. Spoke to lipid specialist, advised not to take for 1 month to see if symptoms disappeared, they didn't. Daren't take again as felt like I'd aged 25 years in one month! I have tried 3 different statin meds but I will persevere and try a fourth as their side effects are nothing like the side effects I experienced with Repatha. I had hoped I could tolerate Repatha as it is reportedly very effective in lowering Cholesterol but not for me unfortunately F 65 4 weeks

1  High Cholesterol, stents Difficult breathing, rash & itching lower back & legs, nausea, unusual tiredness, weakness, stiffness and body aches all over, especially in lower back, shoulders and knees, blurred vision, watery eyes, dry mouth, raspy voice, trouble concentrating such as comprehending what I'm reading or hearing. It's all on the Mayo Clinic website https://www.mayoclinic.org/ Since taking Repatha I don't feel well...ever! The days just run on. I have to think hard to remember what day it is and what I have to do next. Repatha lowers cholesterol, but at a great cost. I will try taking it every 6 weeks to see if that helps with the awful side effects. M 71 4 months

5  Heart attack Zero Side effects!! As I read these reviews I have to wonder about these individuals overall health as to why they're having the issues they're having. As far as I'm concerned this is a miracle drug! My cholesterol numbers have improved so dramatically it's hard for me to even comprehend such a change. My total cholesterol was cut in half. My bad cholesterol was reduced by 65 percent and my good cholesterol increased by 25 percent all within the first 8 weeks! M 59 3 months
