| 4 | PCOS | Bloating, gas, cramps in the days following the last pill up until the arrival of my period seven days later. | This was the second time I took Provera to induce a period after a few months without a period. The first time I took the 5 x 10 mg course, my period came the day after I took the last pill. Expecting the same the second time around, I was alarmed when my period didn't come and I experienced the side effects listed (I never have PMS). I was prescribed Provera 1 10 mg pill per day for 10 days. While taking the pills I experienced the highs and lows of emotions. I would easily which from sad to angry. My boyfriend often told me that "Im being extra sensitive". Day 1, was pretty easy...it really cleaned me out. Days 2 through 10, I experienced mild cramps, back pains, bloating, sore breasts, and a lack of an appetite. I was starting to get worried when I had not seen anything. After I finished my meds, I contacted my dr, who said I should get my period within the next 10 days. Around Day 4 Post Meds, I started to see spotting but only when I used the bathroom. Same thing on Day 5. But Day 6, my period actually came down. I'm going on day 5 of having my period and it seems pretty normal so far. I have seen some blood clots and have experienced semi-severe period pains, but I was prepared for much worse. So far, I am happy with the end result.
