4 | Gardnerella | Mild vaginal itching when the body discards the medication in the morning. On the 3rd day i had a glass of wine, no side effects whatsoever. | My doctor did not mention any side effects; when i read up on the meds i was horrified. So far, i have not experienced any side effects. The itching is annoying since this was the reason i saw the doctor in the first place. I am taking supplements to not destroy the good bacteria during this treatment. For anybody that likes a glass of wine. So far so good. I just had my first. | F | 51 | 5 days .75mg 1X D | 8/26/2012 | |
3 | Gardnerella | Devolped a discharge on my 4th day. Went to the pharmacy and got some over the counter yeast infection cream, Monistat, because i really thought it was a yeast infection (it totally looked like cottage cheese coming out of me). I took it and it burned like crazy. The next day i called the doctor, she confirmed that it is a yeast infection and gave me a prescription for Diflucan (fluconzanole). Took the first last Thursday, the discharge got better witin 2-3 days. Took the second and last on Sunday, no discharge but still a bit uncomfortable especially at night and in the mornings. | Well, the yeast infection is a major side effect. Don't be fooled, it is not the meds coming out; if it looks like cottage cheese (touch and squeeze it, it even has the texture) it is yeast. | F | 51 | .75mg 1X D | 9/3/2012 |
