3 | Seizures following cranitomy (AVM) | I have tried so many meds :) Dilantin; Depakote; Carbatrol; Tegretol, Lamictal, etc...and now on Generic Keppra. Keppra is the ONLY one that doesn't WIPE me out. Dilantin... Gum issues, lost a ton of weight :)...Depakote - major hair loss, major weight gain... Carbatrol - was actually good, but I had serious reaction to sun exposure. I may actually try to combine that with Keppra if allowed. I am currently taking Lamictal 25 mg at night ...knocks me out - sleep well for 4 hours :). | The only issue I have with Generic Keppra is the numbness/heaviness/tingles I feel on my left side (7 hours) following taking the 1000 mg's. I of course view this a needing more meds, but perhaps it's working as a time release med kicking in? Does anyone else have this issue? ONE MORE THING... I took cold medicine for bronchial/sinus issue and had a seizure. It appeared that I was having a migraine of sorts..and I knew I was going to have a seizure... which I did - the seizure was so very different from the ones I typically have and lasted a long time. So I would be careful with drug interactions. | F | 51 | 1 years 1000 2X D | 3/6/2011 | |
