Plasma statin levels have been found in individuals with one of 2 SNPs in this gene to be anywhere from 130% Above normal to 400% ABOVE normal--TOXIC levels by anyone's determination. These are NOT RARE MUTATIONS, occurring in 18 to 34% of the population. seems for the 4 yrs I was on the drug, I had TOXIC levels, resulting in deterioration of my nervous system. all for "primary prevention". the ONLY finding I ahd for heart disease was a mildly elevated total cholesteropl.
