4 | Birth Control | So far the only side effect I have associated with Depo Provera is the horrible change in the way I smell. Plus, occasionally my arm muscle is sore for a day or so after the shot. | I absolutely love this shot, I was always horrible at remembering the pill (ORTHO TRI-CYCLEN LO-dose)every day, didn't care for the patch idea and have been horrified at the thought of one of implantation methods and the different rings, too much risk in my opinion. I take Calcium and Vitamin D supplements to curb the bone-density issues. I have no bleeding what-so-ever which I loved since I was always horrible at being prepared for getting my period. I would definitely suggest it to anyone from my experience so far. Also I plan on looking into the newer version of the shot (Depo-subQ Provera 104 Injection) which is injected into the thigh or abdomen, it's supposed to be a smaller, less painful shot and is not supposed to affect your bone-density as much. I'm hoping that it helps with the smell since it has a 31% less hormones than the original shot. | F | 23 | 6 months 150mg 4X O | 10/17/2010 | |
4 | Birth Control | This past week I started spotting :( ugh, I hate stained undies... luckily in 2 days I'm getting another shot so hopefully it will stop. | F | 23 | 6 months 150mg 1X O | 10/19/2010 |
