I starting taking Cranberry tablets (purchased at the local health food store) instead. | M | 53 | 2 days 500 mg. 2X day | 10/26/2015 | 5 | Folliculitis & acne | No side effects- this was the third antibiotic I have tried and it is the best! | F | 32 | 2 months | 7/29/2014 | 5 | UTI | Brilliant drug, cleared my UTI and no side effects at all. CEFADROXIL (CEFADROXIL/CEFADROXIL HEMIHYDRATE): This medication is a cephalosporin-type antibiotic used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections (e.g., strep throat, skin and urinary tract infections). It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. This antibiotic treats only bacterial infections. It will not work for viral infections (such as common cold, flu). Using any antibiotic when it is not needed can cause it to not work for future infections. (Sources: U.S. Centers for Medicare Services, FDA)
