5  ADHD Jaw clenching which leads to me sucking all saliva out of my mouth, which lead to dry mouth, which also leads to sores on my tongue that take a while to heal due to not having the efficient saliva in my mouth. Vyvanse has been a great medication for ME. It's helped refocus, become more organized, which has haloed my self esteem and made me happier mom/wife/person all around I feel.I'm just stuck because with the side effects I am experiencing they can be painful butat the same time does my positive outcome outweigh that?? Again this medication has helped ME. It may not be for everyone. F 32 3 weeks

5  ADHD Dry mouth, slight headache if I don't eat or drink lots of water, persistent headache for 24hrs if not taken every day I've trialled several medications in the past 8 months to help with disorganisation, procrastination and inability to focus at work that has always been a problem (I've had ADHD since childhood but only recently officially diagnosed). Menopause amplified all of those unfortunately. Vyvanse has been amazing. I now feel productive at work and so much more focussed on the tasks I would procrastinate on. Sexually, I've always had a high libido, which dropped significantly after menopause. Libido hasn't increased, but orgasm intensity has increased. F 58 1 months

5  ADHD Occasional insomnia, dry mouth I was not diagnosed with ADHD until adulthood. I tried concerta before trying vyvanse, and was nervous about trying vyvanse after my experience with concerta. But it was such a life changing thing for me. I suddenly started understanding how neurotypical people managed to do so many things. My anxiety decreased, my memory improved, my productivity increased. I have to take it before 7:30 in order for it not to affect my sleep, but it's so so worth it. F 38 6 months

5  BED I have been on Vyvanse for only a month. I was prescribed 30mg to start. 30mg worked for me for the first two weeks. After that it stopped working. I increased the dosage to 40mg. One-month Pros: * Throughout the day, food isn't my first or only thought. * Reduced appetite. * I can feel when I've had enough to eat. * My first two weeks I lost 6lbs. * Though I typically have a hard time falling asleep, the side effect of insomnia did not worsen. * Concentration. My ability to concentrate is amazingly better. One-month Cons: * My arms and legs have become itchier. * Dry mouth. * I already have dizziness, Vyvanse does not seem to affect it any more than usual. * Irritability. This only lasted for about a day or two. * Upper stomach pain. Only lasted for about 1 week and was tolerable. ** I did NOT research about alcohol and this drug before taking it. Due to the character limit, please watch videos about this. F 35 1 months

5  ADHD Decreased appetite that wears off by mid afternoon when taken around 7 AM, occasionally a thick mucus feeling in the back of my throat that feels better with warm tea or cough drops. Nausea in afternoon when taken without food. It helped to greatly reduce my anxiety caused by ADHD. I've found it works best for me when taken with food, as when I don't I tend to get nauseous in the afternoon. My personality isn't dulled and neither is my creativity. I feel really glad I have access to this medication. F 26 2 years

5  ADD all very minor: increased craving for sugar, dehydration if I don't stay on top of water consumption. This drug has been a miracle for me. I do not experience any negative side effects. My libido has returned, I feel a lot calmer, less anxious and less depressed, I never think about dying anymore, easier to focus, actually interested in movement/exercise, way less irritable or impatient, and my self-esteem increased immediately upon taking it (used to be super low.) I also do not over-eat all the time anymore. F 25 3 months

5  ADHD Vyvanse has really helped me over the years. I haven't experienced a lack of sleep, and my appetite completely went away but I've been working to get it back. Just have to remind myself to eat. However, if I don't take my vyvanse I am extremely sluggish and tired and can hardly get out of bed. F 19 2 years

5  ADHD Extreme loss of appetite, not necessarily dry mouth but definitely increased thirst, increased heart rate, increased instance of bowel movements and urination This drug has changed my life. I have been on Adderall before and even participated in ADHD drug clinical trials and nothing has really been effective. I have always been what was considered high functioning ADHD and received an informal diagnosis (without my knowledge) at a young age based on parental fears of stigmatization. Unmedicated I suffered from serious issues with depression and anxiety. I never could complete classwork unless placed on a deadline and I would often ask to go to the bathroom and just wander the school aimlessly because of how uncomfortable sitting still in class was. Anytime I had to do homework it was a self-incriminating cycle of getting mad at myself for not being able to focus and actually get work done that often led to procrastination. I have found that Vyvanse specifically not only helps me focus and get work done but also helps eliminate my anxiety and depression. I mean nowadays I am the type of person that makes to-do lists every morning and actually gets them done. M 19 1 years

5  Atypical Depression Joint pain (wrists, hands, elbows but feet hurts the most) swollen feet, hives at night, doing things absentmindedly (putting a cigarette box in the fridge, for example), forgetting what I was doing, words and names, dry mouth, lack of appetite, increased cigarette cravings, talking too much, sleep talking, teeth clenching during the day. Vyvanse is helping me so much. I used to have hypersomnia and when I was awake I'd stay in bed the whole day. Doing anything felt unbearable (even watching a movie or taking a shower and I was just wasting my life. Now I spend the whole day doing one thing or another around the house and I'm never bored. The only side effect that really bothers and worries me is joint pain and swollen feet. I don't want to stop taking Vyvanse, it gave me my life back but I think maybe I'm allergic (I'm allergic to Ritalin). If anyone has something to say about those side effects, please let me know.  5  ADHD Teeth grinding (which causes painful sores on the side of my tongue) INSOMNIA, weakened immune system, weight loss. Irregular heart beat. Though the side effects are annoying, I've tried adderall and Ritalin Which didn't work for me at all. I became addicted to adderall and the side effects were so bad I forced myself to quit....and I had over 30 terrible side effects on adderall. Vyvanse is nice because it's not addictive and provides the same stimulating effects without the side effects. F 26 3 years

5  Chronic Fatigue Raynaud's Syndrome, Jaw Clenching (after a couple years of use), minor weight loss, increased blood pressure, occasional anxiety (if not properly hydrated) While every drug has side effects, the pros out weighed the cons with Vyvanse. It's only a band aid fix for my chronic fatigue, but it's improved my quality of life F 36 4 years

5  ADHD I have been diagnosed recently with ADHD. It is mixed hyperactive, impulsive, inattentive, but is predominantly inattentive. Throughout my life I have struggled and wasn’t aware the reasoning behind it. I struggled to concentrate and hold my attention on tasks. I would day dream for very extended periods of time. I became overwhelmed at school to the point I would have outbursts and hit my head against my desk and walls. During my adolescent years I became obsessed with girls, abused drugs and became involved in crime. This behaviour eventually lead to me being incarcerated for 12 months in juvenile detention. Shortly after I was released I developed a methamphetamine addiction. Methamphetamine calmed me down and gave me focus, it also gave me psychosis and homelessness at rock bottom. I beat this addiction. I was clean of all drugs for 4 years before I started attending uni. My concentration was not good. The only way I managed to sustain any focus was by exercising excessively every morning, fasting a minimum of 16 hours a day and having 6+ shots of coffee a day. I developed bad anxiety and wasn’t even doing exceptionally well at uni. I decided to investigate if I had an underlying mental health condition that could explain my lack of concentration, as well as the unsavoury events in my life. I was diagnosed with severe ADHD as I had every symptom to some degree and have struggled since I was 4. I have been prescribed Vyvanse. For the first time in my life I c I was started on 30mg once per day. The effects last for about 10 hours then I go back to my normal state with out any increase in my ADHD symptoms. If my tolerance increases I would consider increasing the dose, but won’t do so unless it is necessary. In Australia it goes straight from 30-60mg. M 26 2 months

5  Adult ADHD Dry mouth, Diarrhea, Very talkative, Ringing in ears sometimes, Dizziness if I get up too quickly, Lack of appetite. I absolutely love Vyvanse. It has helped me focus so much while I'm at work making me a better employee. I've noticed for me, it works better when I only take it on the days I work. On my days off I don't take it unless I need to clean the entire house. I always feel it working this way. When I took it every day I found myself getting very moody instead of happy. So for me, it works to only take it on my days of work. It also completely takes my appetite away & I have to remind myself to eat cause I don't feel hunger pains at all. I have lost a good amount of weight on this which I'm VERY happy about! F 40 9 months

5  Adult ADHD Starting Vyvanse I had light headedness, ringing in ears, diarrhea, loss of appetite, and VERY talkative! Be careful when your Dr ups your dosage of this medication because it is VERY strong! I started on 30mg 6 months ago & now am up to 60mg. The 60mg is really really strong! The 1st week I had dizziness, ringing in ears, shaking & felt like I was going to pass out. I had to call in to work 1 day because of this. Now that I've been on 60mg for 3 weeks it feels much better! I can focus so much better on things at work. I have a lot of energy & no appetite. Be careful with this as your hunger pains are non existent on this med!I have to force myself to eat something daily. I've lost 15 lbs in 6 months. That is a positive for me!Please be careful with talking too much on this med cause you WILL talk too much! Other than that, LOVE Vyvanse as it has improved my life. F 40 6 months
