I was warned that this might happen on this pill so when my period doesn't come, I'm not surprised. After a few months I called my doctor and asked her if this was normal and she said yes and I only need to change my pill if not having a period bothers me and I have to say, it's kind of been nice. The first few months everything was okay but later down the road I started having problems. My cramps returned and headaches returned along with my period. My period also became heavy again. While taking this birth control I have had reoccurring yeast infections, probably more than 5 within the year. Others have complained about the yeast infections as well. I was so fed up I stopped the pill mid-pack. Now due to ceasing the medication I have worse mood swings than before while taking the pill and am very easily irritable. I have always been a happy person, but on this medicine I literally cried multiple times every day and was anxious constantly.. I felt paranoid and scared. My sex drive was increased a little, but it turned out to be horrible.. since I cried after sex with my fiancee due to me being so emotional from the medicine! Talk about embarrassing! I have had zero appetite and lost 15 lbs already on this. I was put on this medicine to help my painful periods.. my period this month was 4x as bad as usual, heavy, and very painful. I'm going back on Ortho today. I would NOT recommend this! I didn't want anyone to touch me, I felt anxious, and ate all the time. Now I have been off of the pills for 17 days and my period was due yesterday. Also I have had moderate to severe acne since puberty and was tired of that too. Dr wanted to put me on Yaz but I refused due to all the bad press I've heard. Started Loestrin and was absolutely miserable the first week, mostly really horrible nausea. Everything seemed to normalize after that, but once I hit the placebos my acne returned to the severity it had been. Plus it's $75 a month, so I think I will try one or maybe two other options before giving up entirely. I have never changed because of negative effects of this pill, only because other friends have raved about something they are on. I always come back to it.
