| 1 | Osteopenia | Insomnia. Raging insomnia. Have tried all sorts of sleep meds, from Trazodone to Sonata, to ZzzQuil and NOTHING WORKS. I HAVENT' SLEPT IN 1 MONTH NOW. | The first month I took it, it was OK. The second month - complete insomnia. I'm like a vampire. It's a miracle I can stand up. I'm not driving anywhere b/c I fear having an accident. I've never had insomnia like this in my life. Use at your own risk. Not taking this ever again and just waiting for the drug to get out of my system. My bone density remains -3.7 or something. I always have taken supplements. Two years ago I mysteriously felt a lot of aches and felt very fatigued. This year, around the same time of the year, I now experience persistent and debilitating fatigue, acid reflux, nausea, and insomnia. As before, the palms of hands and soles of feet get hot, red, and in pain. I have foot problems anyway, but the plantar fascitis flares up markedly. Terrible inability to either fall asleep or get back to sleep. Pains in abdomen. Pain in hip. Once the doctor returns from week-long spring break, I hope to research precisely when the switch to Boniva from Fosomax took place and the bone-density readings over the past 8 years, but it beings to look like either Fosomax or nothing will suffice. Staying off sleep meds, pain meds, and antacids -- using aroma-therapy and tart cherry juice for sleep. Always have slept poorly, but this amount of insomnia is crazy. I tried Reclast 18months ago and had what my doctor referred to as a "mild reaction"- I turned beet red in her office then at home I had fever, chills, and mild achey flu-like symptoms for 3-4 days afterwards.
