Started out on half a pill lowered my cholesterol increased to whole pill next labs cholesterol had increased noticed all these symptoms that had gradually creeped up on me and I was feeling worse each day. I thought I was fine with the Zetia until I discussed all these symptoms with my doctor She said you basically have every side effect to this medicine and recommended I stop taking it. It's only been a couple days but my legs already feel some better and my sore throat is gone. I hope these symptoms aren't permanent. This is terrible and I would not recommend anyone taking this. It doesn't help to lower your cholesterol if the medicine kills you. I was having severe circulation problems now wearing compression stockings. I've been off it now for 5 days and today was the first day I kind of feel like myself. Another strange side effect has been an increased appetite and food cravings. I haven't seen reports of that. Then again, maybe all the nausea triggered the cravings.
