4 | | 11/1/2007 | 2 | High | | 1/4/2009 | 2 | High cholesterol | My sinus membranes are extremely swollen in my facial sinuses and I have body aches plus depression. My cholesterol is lowering but these side effects are terrible. My aortic valve is thickening due to high cholesterol so u have to lower it somehow.. | 67 | 12 days 10 mg 1X day | 3/27/2022 | 1 | 0 days 1X day | 3/23/2022 | 1 | Elevated Cholesterol | Since I've only been taking it a short period of time, the side effects are minimal so far but because I've taken Crestor and Provastatin prior to Zetia, I'm leery of these medicines. I noticed my vision was blurry a few days which seemed weird to me, especially since I JUST got my new eyeglass prescription in November! I've also noticed I'm more tired than I should be especially since I take an energy tablet, vitamin D, B12, and multi-vitamin DAILY! I attributed the fatigue to the time change, travel on my job, and just long hours but it seems more than normal. | After experiencing CRAZY side effects with Crestor (severe muscle pain) and Provastatin (gas and CRAZY & extreme nightmares), I am extremely conscious of what's happening with my body so anything out of the norm stands out! My cholesterol is only slightly elevated and has come down since my PCP and I began this journey! I believe I can get the numbers down by other means and will discontinue use of this drug! When my numbers were fantastic, I took Ali regularly until it was pulled off the market. Its back so I'll take it and deal with the oily stool! | 43 | 7 days 30 1X day | 3/27/2016 | 1 | 2 doses and my leg muscles hurt so bad could hardly walk Back pain too | 0 days | 7/15/2017 | 1 | High cholesterol | Extreme dizziness, dry heaves | Horrible drug. | 69 | 42 days 10 | 12/27/2019 | 1 | High C | 1X day | 7/8/2020 | 1 | cholesterol | Just took it three days and am experiencing severe pain behind my right knee, numbness in right foot and some numbness in left fingers. Also twitching in right eye. I am grateful that I immediately decided to check this out before I took it again tonight. Three times and no more. Thank God for all of those who wrote their comments Saved me from misery I do not need. I had enough misery with Toprol XL. I will keep eating oatmeal as it was working and did bring my numbers down to 235 from 270. Don't know why the doctor did not just say ' keep eating oatmeal'. No side effects with oatmeal! Do they get kickbacks from pxs. | 79 | | 2/12/2009 | 1 | couldn't take statins | i am tired, wevere abdominal pain and all tests have come back with nothing wrong, nausea, bloating and gas. i went off once and trying again. i am quitting even tho my cholestrol may be high. | it sounds good to begin with but i don't believe it's for me i have been trying for 6 months. | 69 | 6 months | 11/1/2007 | 5 | cholestrerol | None that I know of. | I've tried about 10 different cholestrerol meds and this is the only one that I haven't had muscle cramps. | F | 53 | 6 months | 3/16/2007 | 5 | High Cholesterol | None to date | F | 59 | 3 months | 1/12/2007 | 5 | High Cholesterol | None to date | Has lowered my cholesterol so far, so pleased. No side effects yet. | F | 59 | 3 months | 1/12/2007 | 5 | Borderline high cholesterol | None | My doctor put me on Zetia 15 years ago for borderline high cholesterol (240). The reading was down to 160 with my last blood work. I watch my diet and exercise every day (2-3 miles/day). | F | 65 | 15 years 1X day | 9/10/2013 | 5 | high cholesterol | Have horrible pain on my jaw. Stomach pains. Didn't have any of these issues prior to taking it. Pain in jaw is excruciating. Its not a tooth because there are no teeth where the pain is. Will not be taking it after today. | F | 58 | 1 weeks 10 | 1/22/2017 | 5 | High cholesterol | None | So pleased, chol down 60 pts, trigly down 50. After just 4 mos. So happy no side effects. Statins were like poison for me. | F | 68 | 4 months 10 1X day | 5/23/2022 | 5 | High Cholesterol | I'm no longer taking this medication. | F | 62 | 10 1X day | 3/18/2024 Patient History | 4 | High Choesterol | Tired. Muscle fatigue in arms and legs. Depressed Mood. Sore elbow and knee joints. | Cholesterol fell from 339 to 223 in 6 weeks. I took 10 days off after my bloodwork came back so much better as my right hip was REALLY painful. Side affects cleared after being off this med for a few days. I will continue trying to take it as I cannot tolerate statins and I am trying to avoid a stroke or heart attack. I do not want to take ANY meds but I need to reduce my cholesterol. So far I am willing to try this as it appears to be working. | F | 56 | 2 months 10mg 1X day | 9/27/2020 | 4 | high cholesterol and trigly etc. | None so far | I am really hoping i continue to have no side effects as i get further into Zetia. I tried two statins and felt like i was poisoned, totally cannot tolerate. Dr. said Zetia is last option, so really hoping this works and continues to be side effect free. Will report back later after on it longer. | F | 68 | 2 days standard 1X day | 1/14/2022 | 4 | Cholesterol @^300 | No side effects and using alone. | Very pleased with this as statins were horrible. Effectiveness yet to be determined. | F | 58 | 2 months | 3/4/2015 |
