4  GAD The first side effects were almost immediate; headaches, dizziness and insomnia. These were short lived but I still experience a lowered libido and short-term memory impairment. Although I find the "forgetfulness" I experience while on Lexapro frustrating, it has been a tremendous help in a life long battle with anxiety. 40 2 years

4  Generalised anxiety and PTSD Always had some issues with anxiety but currently the worst it has ever been having shielded through lockdown. Was dreading taking this after reacting very badly to first dose of Sertraline a week earlier (dizzy, nausea, headache, pins and needles). My GP suggested this instead. I was incredibly reluctant to take it having read some reviews, so decided to take it at night and half the dose (5mg) and see. So relieved feel no obvious side effects. Taken full dose 10 mg last night, feel good no side effects that I am aware of and have slept better in the last week than I've slept in years. After taking initial half dose, felt calmer in my chest when waking when I usually find my anxiety at it's worse. This week I've felt the edge has been taken off my anxiety and I'm not dwelling on things. Has given me greater sense of perspective and not feeling the crippling fear that makes you "freeze" and reluctant to do anything other than entertain a catalogue of worry. So relieved I have taken a chance on this, feeling more like my old sense even though the same issues exist I'm finding it easier to cope. Feels like a God send as I was really struggling to get through each day. 52 8 days

3  anxiety and depression Started it after just going off 15 mg of paxil, tritrated down within 3 weeks. At first it was great then as the paxil slowly left, I feel too up, even though I wanted to feel awake which I really neverdid withthe paxil. I am currently at 2.5. I tried going up to 3.? and after 3 days felt like I couldn't stop moving, but was hard to focus so I did things like wash my kitchen floor etc. I called my dr. office they told me to drop it down to 2.5 until they could see me. I was able before last night to take it at bedtime and fall asleep, last night I had to take a tiny bit, less than 1/8 ativan to get to sleep. Will this go away? 55 30 days

2  Anxiety & OCD My opinon is that I first experienced a burning/cold feeling in my nose and eyes, headache, and stomach ache. That went away after a few weeks. Now I am having very dry, itchy skin and a bloody nose. I keep hoping it will start helping me a little more. 36 4 months

2  To treat depression I had vivid dreams that I could not distinguish from realitity and memory. I had to use logic to come to understand that these dreams Did not happen. This is a side effect my therapist didn't even know was possible. It meant I wasted a lot of time looking for things that didn't exist. But the worse episode for me was when I had a dream that my younger brother had been dead for a decade. I was alone in my dorm room at the time and so it took me an hour to realize he was still alive. Also, the medication only has an affect on my mood if I am taking caffine as well. This was an accidental discovery for me as I have worried I am caffine sensitive like both my parents are. 19 5 months
