My doctor can't help because she doesn't believe Abilify causes withdrawal. I'm really scared I'll never be able to be off this drug and that scares me. It's effectiveness is imaginary, it's price is stupid, mixed with other meds is more stupid, can lead to gambling and promiscuity and abnormal social behavior. Makes you not give a damn, and makes you feel like you're only partly alive, half-dead. It's a poison that never leaves your system and remains in vital organs. Once you research you will agree it is a poison to make money using humans as tests/experiments. I stopped it on my own, because I was no longer feeling the stresses that they assumed I needed this Godforsaken medicine for, as I was experiencing a loss and grief over a loved one at the time, and had few withdrawal symptoms when I stopped cold turkey ( increased heart rate, weeping)…an educated person wouldn't go near this medicine. I was stupid for not researching the facts about Abilify, and trusting inept APRN's and overworked medical professionals. Better to face our issues head on in a safe environment than to numb the engine (our subconscious mind) we need to subsist with some grace and dignity. My psychiatrist told me it would help with my appetite and my bad anxiety from school. It was great for about 2 weeks, but then I started throwing up every morning and had terrible anxiety/panic attacks and ptsd. I lost a lot of weight and I was only around 100 pounds when I started taking it. I passed out frequently, and eventually had a seizure. It took me at least a year to fully recover from this extremely dangerous drug. (They made that up; no such actual diagnosis called that.) I actually had a skull fracture and Traumatic Brain Injury due to police attacking me without warning of any kind, from behind. (10 yrs later LASD is still investigating MANY situations like mine.) 2) i was less thab 100lbs at the time but 6 or 8 deputies attacked me then lied to County staff about my "mental disabilities," which they actually caused. So i was also given a high dose of Risperdol. I was too terrified to say what realy happened so i pretended to agree that i fell off my bunk and since i had been a psychology major, i faked a few symptoms saying i heard voices - because i needed an MRI and i knew i had a very serious head injury. 3) within 5 weeks i was half paralyzed , wheelchair confined, and was in the jail infirmary where nirses had to shower me, spoon feed me, help me to even turn over when sleeping and move my legs cuz i couldnt feel them...from the permanent reactions to Abilify and Risperdol. I managed to have a nurse put KLONOPIN on my med schedule which probably helped save my life. I suffered like this for 4 months in jail.
