| 5 | Generalized Anxiety disorder | Muscle stiffness first 2 weeks, weight gain of 30 lbs in 6 months | Overall, was able to wean from 200mg of Zoloft to 50 mg of Zoloft with the addition of Abilify, however, after 1.5 years of having this additional weight on, I am slowly trying to wean off the Abilify. I do however, feel terrific on the medication. I have no anxiety, my thoughts are clearer than ever. After a few months of being off the med, if my symptoms return, I will most likely go back on it at only 1mg. We will see. It was extremely terrifying and I was young and hadn't known the side effects the pill would give me. I was so scared the restlessness and pain was going to last forever. I could not lay down or sit still, I had to be moving every second and I couldn't rest. It was awful. If you are having psychotic, bi-polar, depression, or whatever, and desire to take something. Only take small dosages of anything, 10mg. or less. Ativan in combination helps deal with the tremendous anxiety. Also take seroquel for sleep, and lamictal for the depression. Overall, a good mix for me. ABILIFY (ARIPIPRAZOLE): Aripiprazole is used to treat certain mental/mood disorders (such as bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, Tourette's syndrome, and irritability associated with autistic disorder).
