I therefore agreed with the doctor to drop dose to 5mg per day (after 6 weeks). Cholesterol rose slightly but gym was better. Six months later, I started suffering anxiety and what would become the worst depression I can ever imagine. I can even say I was becoming suicidal. I hated life, my business started to suffer, I slept all day, I didnt want to do anything or go anywhere. I was so terrified I could be capable of suicide that I was having constant panic attacks about it. I have suffered anxiety in the past and have been put on Seroxat (20mg per day) which always worked very well for me. This time, it didn't touch the sides. My symptoms were so aggressive, it terrified me. | Eventually, I put 2 and 2 together and realized Crestor could be the problem. I stopped taking it 4 days ago and the symptoms have completely disappeared! I am so happy and relieved but at the same time angry that neither my physician nor psychiatrist once mentioned these symptoms could be caused by Crestor. Furthermore, all the aches and pains (particularly kidney and liver pains) stopped immediately. If you are taking this drug and have any symptoms at all, please stop immediately. Within 48 hours, you will know if the drug is the cause. About three times had a bright white dart in the far right of my right eye. Appears and disappears in a flash. Never recall this happening ever in my life. Overall I could not live with this. Felt like dehydration symptoms. | After one week I told doctor I would take the 5mg dose every other day. Dry mouth, munchies, sleepy brain was reduced. Eye twitch remains. My overall cholesterol fell to 160. 141 bad (30% reduction). 42 good. Got a pill cutter will now try 2.5 mg every other day. The jury is still out. Doctor put me on 10mgs of crestor. Within a month i was feeling more tired, and i broke out in an itchy rash that turned to welts, my jaw was sore, my lips swelled and my eyes. I stopped it and took allergy meds and went to see doctor. Doctor does not agree with me that crestor did this but I'm a nurse and feel it is the cause. I Took allergy meds for a week until rash went away. No problems since. My numbers are good other than good cholesterol number could be higher. Not sure what to do other than to do blood work every 3 months to check my numbers. But I know I'm not taking anymore statins | I had my heart attack at 54 yrs age and Drs said no reason/cause. Said fluke because no history personal or family, not overweight and active and healthy. Low bp normally and cholesterol never a problem. They seem to start when the spasms started in my stomach and I would get these different times of the day. I stopped the Crestor on 1/10/17 because I really felt this was the cause of my problems. I had an ultrasound of my abdomen, an echocardiogram, lots of blood work and ekgs. Had to go to the ER again on 3/24/17 because the spasms and heart flutters were bad and my pulse was 41. They diagnosed me with the same thing...premature ventricular contractions. Since that time it seems like everything is better and now it's a lot less getting the spasms and flutters. I waited this long to post this because I wanted to be sure I felt the Crestor did this to me. I contacted Crestor this past week and told them my experience in taking this poison medicine. I've been back on Pravenstatin since February with no problems so far. Prior to taking Crestor I was on generic lipitor and that gave me real bad muscle and joint pain. Since being off the crestor I have had my urine tested and I didn't have protein in my urine. The crestor was breaking down my muscles and the protein was spilling over into my urine which caused it to be foamy and causing the pain in my back. | I am 57 years old and have 4 stents total. My heart attack was May 2016. Today is June 2017. I need the cholesterol lowering drugs according to the doctors but my body will not tolerate the statin drugs. Crestor has damaged my muscles.
