| 1 | High ldl | Severe muscle cramps. I’ve never had cramp to speak of before - these cramps were widespread and crippling. Cramps stopped after discontinuing drug. | Tried stopping drug for 2 weeks then restarting . The result was the same except worse on the 2nd occasion. The cramps affected thighs.calves,back ,arms and hands. I have a long (30 yr.) history of bad reactions to statins. Crestor was one of them. He felt the risk of not taking it outweighed the risk of taking it. So I tried. At the 25 day mark I quit. Why? 1. Cold dull ache moves up & down both legs and both arms. Feet ache. 2. Arms feel like lead. 3. Increase in GERD symptoms. Constant acid in throat & stomach. 4. Constant, serious brain fog, can't focus or concentrate, easily frustrated, angered. 5. Off balance, floating, visual disturbances. I should not be driving. I was off the drug for 5 days, the symptoms went away. As a test, I went back on it and in 2 days the symptoms returned. I am now between the proverbial rock and a hard place. I don't want a more serious stroke but I can't function while on Crestor.
