Only lasted a day. | I switched from Yaz (was on it for 3 years) to this and I wish I would've done it way sooner. My mood is so much better, my weight is coming down (appetite has normalized from being elevated on Yaz,) libido is increasing, depression and anxiety are improved. I just feel overall better. Everyone is different. This is just my experience. I can't say enough positive things about my experience. It's like I'm not even on birth control. I do take the name brand instead of the generic, so it's expensive paying out of pocket for that. Reading all of these reviews, I wouldn't say to stay away from the nuvaring just because some people have adverse effects because you never know how your body will react to medications, not everyone is the same! My periods have actually gotten lighter and it's nice being able to get a period for security in knowing you're not pregnant. NUVARING (ETHINYL ASTADIOL; ETONOGESTREL): This product is a vaginal ring containing combination hormone medication and is used to prevent pregnancy. It contains 2 hormones: a progestin (etonogestrel) and an estrogen (ethinyl estradiol). It works mainly by preventing the release of an egg (ovulation) during your menstrual cycle. It also makes vaginal fluid thicker to help prevent sperm from reaching an egg (fertilization) and changes the lining of the uterus (womb) to prevent attachment of a fertilized egg. If a fertilized egg does not attach to the uterus, it passes out of the body. Using this product does not protect you or your partner against sexually transmitted diseases (such as HIV, gonorrhea, chlamydia).
