Normally I am a horn dog and have never had any problems before with my boyfriend of 4 years. This pill is a powerful anti-libido agent. Beware. However, be informed that all pills are potentially libido killing and everybody responds differently. It is recommended that if you have this problem with Yasmin to try a phastic oral contraceptive that delivers different amounts of hormones throughout the cycle. If that doesn't work, try the patch because it isn't processed through the liver so you don't produce the protein that binds the sex ho | F | 27 | 3 months | 12/20/2006 | 3 | Birth control | Mood swings | I began taking Yasmin immediately post abortion as directed by my doctor. The main problem I have with this medication is the mood swings I have been having. Prior to Yasmin, my moods quite stable; in the last 2 months and 1 week, I have cried many times (very unusual for me), have gotten sad quite often (much more so than usually), and gotten incredibly angry to the point where I visualized hitting someone (and extreme anger is VERY uncommon for me). I realize that perhaps my emotions are not what they were prior to the abortion, and, additionally, my hypothyrodism (underactive thyroid) is still being regulated. However, it just seems like a big coincidence that my moods changed, basically when I started this medication. On the upside, my second period was very light and I had little cramping, and I have not gained any weight. The most serious I thought were feeling dizzy as in I felt like fainting, unusually hostile and moody, a strange, large clumpy yeast infection like I have never gotten before; and tired wanting to sleep when I get home and not do anything. Also it made me feel depressed like the whole world was grey, nauseous to my stomach, unusually confused as if in a mental fog at times, and when I had a glass of wine on it I felt so dizzy and sick I found I couldn't drink at all. Maybe it works for some, not for me.
