I was able to get pregnant and went on Ocella at my 6 week check up. 2 months after being put on Ocella I developed a Deep Vein Thrombosis (15 inches long) and multiple PE's in my lungs and was hospitalized for 10 days - use a cain and depend on my husband for daily dressing for a month, put on Blood thinners for 6 months and have to wear compression stockings because my leg swells. If you want to take Yaz, Yasmin, Ocella, or ANY birth control, - please talk to your doctor about your risks of DVT and PE. I was a non smoker ( though I smoked the first time on it). I cannot be on any Birth Control or Hormones for the rest of my life. This drug has litterally consumed my everyday life for 2 years (AFTER STOPPING IT) and will for the rest of my life. I started bleeding the week before placebo week, three months in a row. I became despondent with various depression symptoms. And, the kicker was the migraines. My temples would knot with searing pain for 2-4 days with no relief. I also find that I have low sex drive and my eye sight has gotten so bad that I cannot see anything without my contacts. I didn't know why I haven't been feeling myself lately but now I know that its been a result of being on this birth control for 7 years. She did more blood tests and stated that Yasmin wasn't the problem, I now have a referral for a neurologist and an MRI -.- also in the last year noticed my eye sight failing when I have always had perfect vision. After being on BC for many years i decided to have a break. As soon as i stopped takin yasmin my extreme mood swings stopped, my aggressiveness towards my partner stopped too. I often felt depressed and my sex had totally gone. I put this down to my thyroid levelling out. How wrong was i. After a years break i started back on yasmin due to heavy periods and now my moods and depression have returned. My partner is at the receiving end of this and has just told me he feels something needs to be done. It wasn't until he said I'd changed since goin back on this pill that i realised its the truth. Then readin the reviews on here i realise it is Definately this pill.
