The first month my mood swings were unreal and almost indescribable. I'd wake up so happy in the morning and be depressed by around 4-5pm. I was and still am fatigue all the time, and little things like walking up the stairs make me out of breath. I also let little things piss me off and unfortunately take it out on the people around me. I have lost 10 pounds since I've started this medication, I have no desire to eat even though I know my body needs food. I feel like Dorry from finding nemo and it makes me embarrassed at times. My friends will tell me something and I'll completely forget what they said and ask them about it a few minutes later. Or I'll begin to tell a story and forget what story I was going to tell. I hate what this medicine has done to me. I am 19 years old and college is supposed to be the best time of my life. Exhaustion. Confusion. Infection. Dizziness. | Keppra was supposed to replace the Depakote I had been on for several years. I was also taking Topamax as a secondary. Within the first week I wanted to kill people. Everyone. People I loved. I had a lot of rage and I was terrified I was going to hurt someone. I also developed strep throat, and after that a rash appeared on my skin that looked a lot like shingles. Now I have deep purple scars. Keppra all but killed off my immune system, made me homicidal, a zombie, made my skin thin and scale like, and turned my blood orange. All in one month. The first week of taking this drug I felt like a zombie! I called my neurologist and he said that it will pass! I started experiencing nausea, headaches, diarrhea, SEVERE ANXIETY AND PANIC ATTACKS along with depression, burning skin and now insomnia! (Something which I've never had). I literally thought I was going crazy and going to die! By middle of week three I had to be weaned off of it. It has been five days now and I am still not feeling myself. I still have a weird spaced out feeling in my head (that comes and goes), burning skin and diarrhea. I wouldn't recommend taking the chance with this stuff. | Absolutely horrible drug.
