I did develop a mild allergy to ibuprofen but that could have also been just aging; further, I get menstrual migraines and cannot take a migraine medication b/c of the Celexa. So, I do tend to suffer once a month with very bad headaches - again, this is nowhere near as bad as my depression. My best lesson in treating depression: keep talking to your doctor, take your medication as prescribed, and always see a therapist. CELEXA (CITALOPRAM HYDROBROMIDE): Citalopram is used to treat depression. It may improve your energy level and feelings of well-being. Citalopram is known as a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI). This medication works by helping to restore the balance of a certain natural substance (serotonin) in the brain.
