First started in 2002 and same side effects i mentioned. Till 2006 i took 2 Xenical tablets before meals. It kept me no matter what i eat in same weight that time. But i decided not to use it later because of the warnings of some doctors. After stopping this medicine i started to gain weight and believe or not i put somehow 50 pounds in 3 years time. Then i decided to use Xenical once again, in fact it did not make me lose weight and side effects came back. Now over a year now, i use Xenical, and it don't make me lose weight, even gained few pounds. I think if u use for the time period, it helps to stay in same weight. But if you give a break later and restart this medicine, you don't lose weight at all. Side effects can occur as we all know and no need to mention especially within 1st & 2nd year and lessens afterwards, but oily thing never goes away. I think it works for not everyone but some and if you stop taking it, then never ever restart Xenical because it don't help at all. Somehow your body get used to this medicine and restarting it, don't make you lose weight at all. I understand now. All we need is to reorganize our diet and lose weight. It's simple, if you eat too much fat you may not make it to the toilet in time. And it's not like you can eat fat and not take a pill to escape the side effects because it stays in your system for several days. You can still have a drink because alcohol is sugar, not fat. 5	to help me loose weigh	Lot of gas in my stomach. A bit rash on my skin, But I think Is due to thefact that my body is expeling the fat. Nothing major.	Firts of all I want to say, I exercise every day. 40 min on the bicycle, 45 to 1 hour running/walking with the dog and a bit of weigh and sit up. Is hard! Before start xenical I was 81kg. In 3 week`s time I lost 4 kg, the exercise and xenical together done the job. There is one problem only. Gas in my stomac. When I`m home is fine, but at work is really unconfortble, I need to run to the toilet every 30min and hope noone is there. If I don`t go it hurt. I know is not the solution, but is helping me alot. Once I reach my ideal wiegh I`m gonna stop xenical and keep going with the exercise. I`ve done soo many diet nothig really work, but since I change my life style (wich was really hard) I`m happy. God I was soo blind b4. I`m healthy now and I`m planning to have a child with my partner and is really imprtant for me to give a good example to my child. 5	To help me loose weight	The only sideeffects I have experienced are the ones I have asked for by eating too much fatty foods which causes the horrible orange diarreah.	I started off with "Alli" which in Norway has half the amount of orlistat in it. It worked fine so I asked my doctor for a prescription on Xenical.(Which has twice the amount of orlistad and half the prize) I have no sideeffects of the pill unless I eat too much fatty food. The pill helps me get consious about what I put in my mouth, and together it has made me loose 1 kg every week so far. On whole not had other issues. on thyroxine, insulin and gliclazide aswell as bp pills and statins. blood glucose levels dropped almost immediately! I lost about 60 pounds in about 5 months, and then stopped taking the pill but, put back on 150, not due to the pill or anything just my own eating habits. Now that i am back to 380, it is time that i go back on it again. Here in Nova Scotia you need a doctor's perscription and it costs around $400, but it was covered by my drug plan for 80% so not to pricey for me. Would be if i didn't have a drug plan though. Also,as a big help, they are free on prescription if you live in Wales, UK, as all prescribed medication is now. I am not exercising or walking, but have substantially lowered my caloric and fat intake. I find it to be very useful for weight loss, and if I exercised I think my loss would be greater. 5	lose weight, going on a cruise	After eating anything with high fat contents such as fast food burgers or junk food, pizza, fried chicken etc.... chips My stomach will rumble. the day after the binge eating I will have oily stool and gas. I don't mind cuz it's a reminder not to eat that stuff anyway.	I have lost about 8 - 10 1lbs so far, I've been on 3wks. I get very thirsty and It helps me keep my junk food on check because I just don't want to eat the stuff as often. It's not worth it, especially because xenical is so expensive. 4	Weight Loss	The normal oily discharge which is to be expected, frequent bowel movements. The poor house blues....lol THESE THINGS ARE EXPENSIVE !!!!!! LOL	Been on Xenical 2 weeks today and lost 7 lbs....My first week I had frequent oily stool which did me great because I would only go to the bathroom like twice a week on a normal basis..so I felt less bloated. I still have oily droppings in the toilet but frequent bowel movements have become less. I take with every meal and watch my fat intake also...However, when I am bad I stay home and prepare for the reprecussions....This is great stuff....the Wind part I can do without...but it helps to release the oil...sooooo, just make sure you blow wind in the toilet...lol..... 4	overweight causing bad joint pain	bad wind which leaked oily goo, very loose oily stools, slight cramping when i had to go to the toilet, occasional accidents	taking this was a last resort for me because i had tried every diet and reductil and nothing worked well, i was well warned about the side effects by my doctor, but it didnt prepare me when it did hit, i had about 4 days where i thought they wernt working, then BAM i was living in my toilet, i was not working at the time as i had bad pain in my knee joints, this wasnt caused by being overweight, but if was certinaly making things worse,i couldnt work or do any kind of exercise because of them i dont know my weight in kilos, but i was almost 14 stone, and im only 5ft 1inch, way to heavy, when i went out, i had to wear a pad as i leaked orange goo, and the urge to go just came on so so suddenly,i only had cramps just before i had to go, so that was a warning for me, i think a major point of these tablets is to make you change your eating habits as well, because you cant eat fatty foods, and if you start eating them again after you stop them, then the weight will just go straight back on,	F	27	4 months		10/2/2007

4	Weight loss	Oily in toilet and more frequent bowel movements. You need to were a maxipad all the time in case of leaks.	I have lost approx. 16 pounds without much of a change to my diet. I think I will loose more once I add in some exercise. The weight comes off gradually. My only complaint is you have to be careful going out to eat and the constant need to clean the orange oil film in your toilet. 4	2 st over medical conditions	In the first week more bowel movements than usual now onto 2nd week and everything has settle down.	I lost an unbelievable 8lb in the 1st week then in 2nd haveput 2lb back on!! anyhow early days yet. Spent 8 weeks on well known diet (WW) and gained a pound!! So, well pleased. Providing you keep to a fairly low fat diet I don't think you will experience any really nasty side effects and lets face it we should all be doing that anyway shouldn't we? My GP prescribed Xenical for me as although BMI only 27 have many years of severe medical conditions and a pending operation which would be helped if I wasn't quite so overweight. 4	Lose weight	Day 2 and no side affects	My stats 5'7, currently 200 after losing 60+ lbs in 24 months. Weight lost by eating less, moving more. I am stuck at this weight. Will get to 195, then sabotage myself and gain back to 200. I decided to try Alli (Xenical) as a tool to get past this mental block. I don't see Alli as a magic pill. I see it as a deterrent from eating high fat foods. If I follow eating small portions and healthy choices, (keep exercising daily), then I will start dropping the weight. BUT, if I want to start binge eating (emotional eating or boredom eating) on junk food, I will pay the price physically with the gross side affects. Hence, the deterrent. I thought I could 'cheat' every once in a while and skip a day, not taking Alli, and eat what I want, but then, duh, it hit me...After eating foods lower in fat, with Alli or not, if I eat something high in fat and a lot of it, I am going to get diarrhea because my body is not use to it. 4	To lose weight quickly	No side effects but i havent eaten anything which contained high fat.	I thought i would have lost more weight than this. Started at 14 stone 12 now weigh 14 stone 5 So half a stone in two weeks isnt bad.im quite happy with that. I found with other diets that i lost weight quickly at the beginning but it came to a plateau for the next few weeks. I have been dieting on and off since i was 11 years old. Tried various slimming clubs. This time i changed my diet to a low fat one. I had a shock when i rang the xenical support to register and they told me how many grams of fat was in an egg alone....9g I have found the site helpful and they gave me some very good advice over the phone. 4	Incentive to eat less high fat food	None to date	2nd comment, not sure what happened to the first...anyhow...I have read alot about this med and I think it can mean different things to different people. For me, I am taking it as a deterrence from eating high fat junk food. I have lost 60+ lbs in the past 24 months and stuck at 195 (5'7) due to mental block. I am using Alli (from Costco-150 pills for $66) to help get past this. I do not eat more than 15gm of fat per meal and average 1200-1400 cal's per day. I do not want the gross side effects so as long as I take this med, 1 or 2 x per day until they are gone, I will NOT eat high fat food. I will post back and update on occasion. Highly recommend this for people who are already willing to eat less high fat foods in the diet and need extra incentive to not binge. I do not see this med as long term help, only short term. 4	obesity	After the 2nd day I had spotting oily stool with organge tint but after the 2nd day a bit irregular BM, not going daily and smearing stool with a greasy texture. Uriniate more frequently.	I have been taking this 1wk now and have lost 3lbs without exercising, my diet is low fat, I watch what I eat and am only taking it 2x per day because I have no appetite, which makes me sad because I want to take the pill. 4	To lose weight	Orange Oily Stool, very minor stomach cramping, sudden urge to use the bathroom after eating food with heavy amount of fat.	Needed to lose 20 lbs. I'm 5 foot 7 and about 165 pounds...would like to get around 145 or less. I lost 7 pounds within 7 days of starting. Worked very good for me since I'm only overweight because I eat fatty foods. If you are dieting and exercising and eating all of the right foods it may not do much, but if you are like me and have a decent metabolism but do not eat the right foods it seems to work wonders. 4	weight loss	Minimal; stool somewhat looser; nothing major	I noticed a lot of people are having problems with diaherria (sp?). I was quite nervous about taking xenical because I have Irritable Bowel Syndrome. However, I've had minimal side effects.
