5  Allergic sinusitis Nose-bleeds, pimples on/near nose, hoarseness I'm supposed to take this twice a day everyday during allergy season, but it gives me a migraine on the second day of use, so I only use it periodically--once or twice every couple months when my allergies are bad. The day after using it(either one or two sprays in the am), I consistently get a pimple on my nose, face or eye-area, without fail. I have swollen nasal passages all year long due to allergies and a deviated septum but this helps keep me breathing and opens everything up. But its only good for limited use. If I use it more than one or two days, I get severe migraines and usually by the second day, will sound very hoarse. It does open swollen sinuses, so you will drip/blow your nose frequently to clear things out. This is the best thing I've found but US doctors no longer prescribe it and it's a Tier3(are you kidding me???!) so I just buy it from the UK out of pocket. One bottle lasts 1.5 years or longer depending on use. The OTC versions/knockoffs do NOT work for persistent sinusitis and have way worse side effects. Def recommend this, only in moderation.  5  Chronic non-allergic rhinitis Dry nose, some crusting, some bleeding. Originally I consulted an ENT for polyps causing sinusitis, which this medication dealt with without surgery. Later I developed chronic non-allergic rhinitis (aka chronic nasal neuropathy) and I take it to control symptoms of blocked nose. I try to take as little as needed, so sometimes none for three or four weeks (esp in summer when I am swimming in the sea), but most other times 1-2 sprays per day. I sometimes have to stop for a few weeks if the crusting and bleeding gets bad but I could not manage without this or some similar medication-- my nose would be permanently and completely blocked.  5  Sinus infection, allergies Sometimes increased anxiety but not always. Works great when my sinuses are blocked and I can't breath. I use a saline spray first. Also prevents the sneezing and runny nose, red eyes I get from allergies. I wish it'd give me a boost of energy since it's a steroid. F 41 1 years

5  Recurrent sinus infections I started taking nasonex about 2 years ago. I did notice some unpleasant side effects like fullness in my throat, nosebleeds, and headaches, but since it controlled my sinus infections, I put up with the side effects. However, after reading how so many people have experienced, anxiety, heart palpitations, insomnia, stomach problems, blurry vision and dizzyness, I realized, I was reading about myself. I thought I was losing my mind. Over the past two years I've been suffering from anxiety attacks for the first time in my life. I'm so dizzy I feel like I could fall down at times. A year ago I went to emergency thinking I was having a heart attack. I rarely fall asleep before 3am and as a result feel like a zombie most days. I'm quitting this stuff immediately and hope and pray I'll go back to normal. I can't believe all this misery is caused by a nose spray. I'm getting off this stuff today. I pray what it's done to me is reversible. I gave it a high rating because it cured my sinus condition. It does what it's supposed to do but, it's not worth everything else it does to a person.  5  hay fever, sneezing and runny nose Minimal I started using a similar nasal spray called baconase about 34 years ago, and my doc switched me to nasonex later. They both worked great. I tried stopping a few times, but runny nose returned everyone. Now I know I am stuck with this for the rest of my life M 71 10 years

5  Seasonal allergies, post-nasal drip None. Nasonex did not help right away like a magic bullet. But my doctor had prepared me. Once it started workin, I felt sooo much better..! Congestion, headaches and PND went away. I stopped using it because I had a couple of years during which my allergies did not effect me so much. I'll go back to it. F 1 days

5  Indoor/Outdoor/Seasonal Allergies I experience consistent clear breathing with ABSOLUTELY ZERO side effects. I'm sad to read about so many poor experiences. I had been getting by with normal Claritin for years and after rescuing a dog in August of 2013, I began suffering from long term sinus congestion. My sinus' were dry and what seemed like "swollen shut". I then decided to change to Allegra, and tried that for a month, then Zyrtec the following month with zero improvment. I then decided I had to go back to the old allergy pills I used to take with the "D" on the end... spent a fortune on Claritin - D and still could not breathe out of my nose. I broke down one day and finally went to the doc who prescribed me Flonase and I started improving. I was back to my normal unobstructed breathing again. After that ran out I found it far more convenient to purchase Nasonex - which has been just as effective. I can't imagine my life without this product. I am a HUGE advocate and have turned a couple friends who felt hopeless in improving their allergy symptoms into believers after they tried it. F 34 1 years

5  Sinusitis and drainage problems It works better than your standard sinus sprays. You don't need much for it to work (once a day, one spray per nostril). It works best if you use a nasal saline douche first. I thought it was pretty good. It's expensive. And as it's a steroid, you can't use it long-term. I have a deviated septum and turbonate problems and this helps breathing, particularly at night if you have conjestion. 14 days

5  Congestion Very effective, no side effects that I contribute to the nasal spray. I do get occasional headaches but they appear to be related to the high pollen counts. Life saver for myself and child. F 35 5 years

5   No side effects at all I took this to fix my nasal congestion, which it did, but it also stopped my allergies, which had been a nightmare up til then because of the early spring. This is the best allergy medication I have ever taken and I had no side effects at all. F 28 5 months

5  Severe allergies/sinusitis I honestly don't think I had any side effects at all from Nasonex. It kept my sinuses completely clear most of the time, which was a God-send for me. I took myself off of the drug simply because I started Menopause and thought it might be contributing to the nightsweats I was getting. Now I know that it wasn't at all. I am, again, having horrible allergy symptoms and am getting back on it. I think Nasonex is a great drug (for me at least)! F 54 2 years

5  Alergies none I am 35 years old and have severely suffered from Seasonal Allergies which start in February and continue till August. Last year I was prescribed Nasonex for the first time and omg...what a difference. I read many bad reviews on this site so i thought i would give a positive one. Everyone is different and it's worked well for me. Maybe the difference being is I have extreme enviromental allergies and any improvment noted is better then what I was going though in the past. 1 years

5  Allergies Light nose bleeds, puffy eyes for the first two weeks of using medication. Possible weight gain. I started taking this about a month and a half ago. It was wonderful being able to breathe at night, but for the first few weeks I would wake up with extremely puffy eyes...worse than when I had allergies. I have been having very light nose bleeds (just a couple drops of blood), and I have pain hip that won't go away. I am an avid exerciser so perhapse this is due to working out. Last month's menstual period was about half as long (no complaints there!!!). I am most concerned about weight gain though. Every week the scale seems to inch up about 0.5 lbs without any significant change in diet. But the relief from allergies is pretty much worth it. I sleep so much better at night! F 33 1.5 months
