The effects of this drug crept up slowly and the fuzzy/lightheaded feeling has gotten progressively stronger with each passing month. I have stopped this drug on numerous occassions to prove that it is in fact this drug and not any other one I take and if I stop it for 3 days my effects diminish but because my blood pressure spikes I go back on it and back come the side effects. The cardoilogist is trying various other meds, but I seem to be very susceptible to a lot, so at the moment I am still taking it and seeing the cardio in a few weeks to hopefully try another that might work without too many effects. Within 2 days, started having severe knee pain, back pain, 1 week later got an itchy rash on legs and arms. I felt horrible, after taking it for 2 weeks, I realized something in this pill was causing issues. I quit taking this med and talked to my doctor. He said it was the "filler" in that generic pill, and when I told him I refuse to take it any longer, he wrote an RX for Cozaar, and told me to tell the pharmacist about these issues with generic Avapro. When I went to see Pharmacist and told him, he agreed that I was probably allergic to the filler in this, and gave me my co-pay back. Always tired no matter how much I slept. i was okay at first, symptoms didn't show up until about 3 months after I started on meds. | Pay close attention to your body and read all warnings. There it was - • rash with raised purple spots and flat red areas caused by inflammation of the blood vessels (vasculitis). So I will stop taking Avapro immediately now that Ive read this. I also had an increase in muscle cramps during this period, including a number of areas of the body that I had never had cramp in before. In the last 2 day I had noticed swelling occuring in my feet also.
