Understand that many people experience horrible pain, but it is pain you can get used to and being active definitely helps. I was happy when the 5 years was up only to be told research had suggested another 5 years with letrozole. I have been so miserable and sickly , told my doctor I wanted to stop as I have no quality of life. He has encouraged me to continue, what upsets me is that there is nothing to counteract these horrendous side effects and they just expect you to bear it. Yes we all want to stay cancer free, but surely there is a better way. I had to give up my job. I feel sad that we are having to suffer this way due to this nasty disease. Physical therapy twice a week, can now wiggle my thumb a little. This has pretty much destroyed my art career. | Was not advised by my doctor that this drug can cause strokes and heart attacks. Total and painful stiffness during night time with unability to move or go to the toilet. My osteoporosis (due to early menopause) has increased and I have severe problems in my lower back now. I wake up during the night with tharcycardia felt in the ears. This is the most chocking and horrible experience I have ever had. I don't believe it has any good effects at all - and if so it certainly does NOT uplift the side effects. I would strickty recommend not to take it. I only took it for 34 days. I have been off now for almost 2 months and the side effects are still there. This is poison for your body. Don''t ever allow your body to get destroyed by it! | Femara should not be allowed to sell or to give to any cancer patient. My mother was dx with two bc's at age 78 in one beast, but because of age and health she did not do any surgery or anything other invasive treatments. However, she was put on Femara. Now, about 4 years later she shows no indication of either one.
