I called my doc and he said to stop taking it, but I was sick with these symptoms for 3 days even though the drug supposedly is out of your system 28-30 hours after taking it. | If your doc prescribes it, ask about Celexa or Lexapro. These Rx are the second and third generations of Effexor. Far fewer side effects, softer on the system. This drug should have a massive warning label on it about all the side effects it can cause including the very rare ones. It would make me so dizzy that I had to hold onto things to walk around at work.
