It made a highly effective sleep aid at night, and required a LOT of sleep. On higher doses and the dose I am now (which is less than the "average" dose), there are no significant effects I can think of. Nothing negative at least. The weirdest minor effect I experience: crying really easy at anything remotely sappy (i.e. commercials, certain episodes of Oprah, corny human interest news story...). And no weight gain either! | For me, Seroquel has been an amazing drug. I still experience some anxiety, and I can get really down sometimes, but relative to how I used to be (which was REALLY messed up- just take my word for it) there is no way I would be alive today if it weren't for this drug. And more than just being alive, I truly FEEL alive, and that I am LIVING for the first time in so very long. Taking this drug, in combination with a more positive outlook toward life, has led me to a place I always hoped, but never thought I could be. However, I noticed that about 20 minutes after I take it at night, I get extremely hungry, and usually eat more than I normally would. This always happens right before bedtime, and while I'm eating, I also noticed that my entire body slows down, making it really hard to finish chewing or swallowing my food, so I think to anyone out there taking this, I would warn you that this could be a choking hazard, and if you eat, you should do so with someone nearby. Also, during the day time, I have greatly decreased concentration and speech coordination, so I'm not as verbally quick as I am accustomed to.
