Just take the medicine the doctor prescribes and stop googling everything. When you read a thousand people claiming to have all these side effects, naturally you're going to convince yourself you have them too. You read the side effects on this site about how RARELY (less than 1%) levaquin can cause tendon rupture and all of a sudden you think you have that. Wake up, illness cause joint pain. These are all very serious, and in rare cases can take years to heal. One of the most distressing symptoms can be the tinnitus that arises from it. Blood pressure would shoot to 170/120 on the top of the waves. Here I am 6 days after coming off the medicine and I still feel the effects everyonce in a while, usually without warning. LEVAQUIN (LEVOFLOXACIN): Levofloxacin is used to treat a variety of bacterial infections. This medication belongs to a class of drugs known as quinolone antibiotics. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. This antibiotic treats only bacterial infections. It will not work for viral infections (such as common cold, flu).
