But OK after that taking it with vitamin b12 and a vegan multivitamin also went on Mediterranean and plant based diet exercising for hour and half a day. | Was put on other brands of metformin that I cudnt tolerate then my local chemist recommended glucophage life saver. Diet control and exercise cudnt shift the pounds and menses came early. GLUCOPHAGE (METFORMIN HYDROCHLORIDE): Metformin is used with a proper diet and exercise program and possibly with other medications to control high blood sugar. Proper control of diabetes may also lessen your risk of a heart attack or stroke. Metformin works by helping to restore your body's proper response to the insulin you naturally produce.
