5 | Rhinocort Acqua | best stuff one can use | This stuff is absolutely amazing. Absolutely no side effects and it is discouraging that the crap posted on here may turn people away from using this drug. | M | 32 | 1 years 16 2X day | 3/2/2010 | 5 | congestion allergies infections | possible slight headache , forhead area | 3 years of constant infection and congestion , ear infection after ear infection , within 4 days I felt better than I can remember and I mean all of me .. last night I slept right through without waking completely blocked up .. I see the doctor who pescribed this tomorrow , he was not my normal GP , I am looking forward to thanking him and getting a repeat... | M | 52 | 7 days 2X day | 4/20/2011 | 5 | allergies | None. | This is the only allergy medicine that works for me. I've been diagnosed with allergies for 15 years, and nothing else works on my allergies. I think all of these other comments only illustrate the point that you should search for an allergy med that works for you with the least amount of side-effects. | M | 35 | 4 months 1-2 sprays 1X day | 12/1/2011 | 5 | Seasonal Allergies | Rhinocort is the best steroidal nasal spray. It has a lower volume of mist than others (Flonase,Nasonex, Nasacort) and is water based. It works well for me even using it QOD. | I can use it every other day, or every second day and it is very effective. Give Rhinocort a try. It's better than the others. (low volume of mist, gentler) | M | 23 | 90 days 32mcg 1X day | 5/29/2013 | 5 | nasal blocjage | slight nasal bleeding in winter | Miracle drug. My nose used to get blocked solid, but still runny. Drove me crazy! This helped greatly with minimal side effects, that I notice anyway. It has no odor, unlike some others which I find repulsive. | M | 56 | 8 years 64 1X day | 3/15/2013 | 5 | Chronic Rhinitis | None | Excellent results for me. I can breath through my nose, which allows me to enjoy food, sleep better at night breathing through my nose and not my mouth (it has reduced my snoring). My allergic nasal symptoms are gone. | M | 41 | 7 years | 4/1/2007 | 5 | Severe sinus headaches | I have a question for anyone -- has anyone experienced breathing problems in very cold weather? For 3 days in a row now, after walking in 20 deg F weather, I have become very dizzy and have taken 2 to 3 hours to recover. I am also experiencing some very mild chest pains. | My sinus problems have cleared up after 30 days use. | M | 62 | 35 days | 12/5/2006 | 5 | Allergies | None | I used it for less than a week and it completely eliminated my allergies. | M | 33 | 5 days | 10/2/2006 | 5 | Allergic Rhinitis | None noted. | 2 sprays into each nostril helps open nasal passages. No significant side effects for me, unlike a competing nasal steroid. This is an older steroid chemical that doesn't contain halogen atoms like Chlorine or Fluorine and seems better tolerated than the newer steroids that contain those. Just so you know, in biology and toxicology, life on earth has an easier and safer time breaking down non-halogenated chemical compounds (through a series of reactions creating intermediary products called metabolites), so they tend to be safer. Notice how Chlordane and Pentachlorophenol are banned by the EPA because the microbiome of the earth cannot even decompose them. Life on earth shares a common evolutionary thread. | M | 40 | 6 months 2 sprays 1X day | 2/18/2020 | 4 | chronic sinusitis/rhinitis | Bloody nasal mucosa on septum. | If you have bleeding while in this medication, CALL YOUR DOCTOR. If you ignore this, you may end up with a perforated septum. This drug worked well for keeping my nasal swelling down, but in time i developed the bleeding. During application, you need to aim away from the septum. | M | 31 | 35 days | 2/28/2006 | 4 | Post Nasal Drip | Dizziness, fast heart beat, anxiety symptoms. | Rhinocort has helped my post nasal drip. I just don't like the side effects. I didn't have these side effects everyday. My side effects would come and go. Everybody is diffrent and all drugs have side effects. | M | 32 | 1 years | 3/14/2007 | 4 | nasal pollups | insomnia and occasional nose bleeding. | This is not one of the stated side effects but spraying the nose at night is not a good idea for me. I will go to a.m. | M | 61 | 4 years | 9/27/2006 | 4 | Vasomotor rhinitis | Poor sleeping, heat intolerance, rapid pulse -thyroid function fine. | The applicator gives only 2/3 of the stated doses. This happens regularly with both the 120 and 240 dose vials. Most recent 240 dose vial gave 152 sprays before atomization ceased - the 120 dose vials used to give 70 doses maximum. People experiencing similar problems should file a formal report to the FDA in the USA or the Therapeutic Gooods Administration in Australia. AstraZeneca have been getting away with this for years. The product works well but the dosage must be very suspect. | M | 68 | 6 years | 5/16/2005 | 3 | Deviated septum | Irritability, funny taste in mouth, food & drinks taste sour. | Trying this to see if this offers relief before going ahead with septoplasty. [email protected] | M | 38 | 2 days | 6/19/2007 | 3 | Post nasal drip and resulting cough | Worked well on post nasal drip and cough after about three days. After a week, got bad rhinitis. Medicine did no good for rhinitis--perhaps made things worse by irritating nose lining. Still bad rhinitis after more than a week off the medication | Even with the rhinitis, the symptoms of post nasal drip and resulting cough have not reappeared. I can sleep better, but feel worse during the day--probably not worth the trade off. | M | 59 | 14 days | 11/26/2007 | 3 | sinusitus | anxiousness, paranoia, mood swings | The medicine worked very well for my symptoms, but the side effects are not acceptable to me to continue the use. I noticed the behavioral changes began soon after I began using the medication but only recently did I connect them to the med. Much better mood after usage has stopped. | M | 31 | 2 years | 2/21/2008 | 3 | Nasal allergies | Taking Rhinocort for almost 2 years. At the same time started having nose bleeds. It really helped with allergies, but several nose bleeds a day. None lasting very long but seem to stop after a few weeks of stopping the Rhinocort. | M | 16 | 2 years | 1/14/2010 | 3 | maxilliary sinus 2ndary infection | Extremely uncomfortable and regular acid reflux, headaches all through my neck and head (not just sinuses), which makes it difficult to focus and be productive in any way. The side effects go away within 24 hours of ceasing the spray but return very quickly after its taken again. | This very expensive ($35/mo) product seems to have some good effect of decongesting my sinuses and allowing mucous to get washed out with sinus rinsing. So it was great for that. But these new side effects are intolerable. | M | 27 | 3 weeks 128 2X day | 4/12/2015 | 3 | Hayfever (actually year-round cold) | Bloody nose | Had an effect, but also bad side effects. I'm that 10% apparently. Not worth it since I don't like to have sores in my nose and blood all over. I've been told about others with same issue who destroyed their noses and got permanent problems with sores, so I stopped. | M | 28 | 1 months 32 microgr 1X day | 11/11/2011 | 3 | Sinusitis | Headaches, insomnia, mild chest pains, blurry and unsteady vision, difficuly focusing, sensitivity to light, joint and muscle pain, acid reflux | I have used this medication in the past with no significant issues. i was off of it for about a years and started up again due to the high pollen counts in my area. I do not know why the issues started this time, however after 5 days without the medication I am starting to slowly get some relief. | M | 48 | 7 days 1 XD 1X day | 4/27/2010 |
