| 5 | BV | for those of you wondering about this 'tissue paper' like discharge and how long after a dosage does it take to go away...my experience has been 2-3 days. i think the 'tissue paper' discharge will always be a side effect for those of us who have to use metrogel regularly. as someone said in their entry, and i also believe its just a reaction of the non-absorbed gel with other bodily fluids coming out in the form of this white, thick pasty looking stuff. but if you are trying to plan for a romantic evening hope this info is helpful... | M | 32 | 1 years | 3/10/2006 | 5 | bv | I have used this medicine several times in the last few years and yes the white clumping is normal but goes away by the end of treatment. | I love this product. At 35 weeks pregnant you never know what's gonna be coming out that end! The smell is gone, the slime is gone... just seem to have horribly horribly dry skin since i started taking it. | F | 25 | 5 days | 10/29/2005 | 5 | BV | Within two days the slimy, smelly discharge was gone; however, as most of you have described I started experiencing the white, clumpy, wet toilet paper-like discharge. I was THIS close to calling my doctor's after hour service this evening. Sheesh, I'm glad to see that it is a common side effect (one that should had been indicated in the pamphlet)I've had some mild cramping (then again I am expecing my period in 5 days), some light nausea, and a little bathroom frequency (stool) - But it is worth it considering what it was like BEFORE I started taking Metrogel. | It truly works! Feels like my bladder is balled up into a rock hard ball. No bad discharge (yet), just excruciating lower abdominal pain.
